I think someone RA's him and he got kicked off. I clicked n his name, and it takes me to the kicked off page, or at least that's what I think it is.
Again, the guy isn't for everyone, and his trades aren't for everyone, but to RA and have him kicked off of here (if that's what happened) is pretty juvenile.
If someone else wants to be king of the money board, exaggerate how large their trades are etc, let them run the board I guess, and people can pee themselves over that advice instead of DBF's advice.
I'm fundamentally opposed to any sort of censorship when it isn't warranted. I got called a pump and dump on here after ERN/CAK, a trade, which if posters are to be believed, everyone made money on. I went out of my way to let everyone know it was part of my speculative portion of my portfolio. It's too bad in my opinion, I've learned a lot from some posters who I've disagreed with in the past. Now it's like, "how much premium did DBF get on his sold calls, rabble, rabble, rabble". I don't know man, either ask him or look it up yourself.
Dude was unique. A strong personality certainly. But he brought some good stuff here form time to time.

What is "RA"?
To be frank, because of his "personality issues", I stopped paying much attention to his posts or threads. I'm not looking for internet drama at this stage of my life. I come here for a few minutes a day to see what's what and if there's anything new going on that I haven't heard about in the world of real estate or finance - or maybe I can give someone a bad answer to a good question every now & again. But that doesn't make DBF a bad human being. I just think that he had/has some issues that maybe should be worked on. I guessed that he was a youngish fellow. He may still have some growing up to do. We've all (the old heads in here, anyway) been there.
ETA: Not sure who downvoted your post, but twasn't me. Good reply, I thought.

True that, count me in...DBF is solid....I continue to follow his insight elsewhere

I invested in TSLA early on. Not complaining.

It's already back to its peak from last week...

I wonder if people are excited about the solar roof idea.
Will there be pre-sales to bring in fresh capital to Tesla again like the Model 3?

Potentially cheaper than modern roofs and lifetime warranty?
Uh yeah, I'm already looking at it for our next house.

Not true

Not sure how much a modern roof is, but according to Tesla's calculator a roof for my house would run ~$95K. 2,000 sq. ft., but the calculator didn't ask for this information, only my address.

It's potentially cheaper when you factor in 30 years of electrical bills or whatever nonsense calculations he's selling.
And don't forget to add the cost of financing an additional 100k at 4-5% of 30 years.
I highly doubt it's feasible to come out ahead.

All true and you'd have to stay in the house for 30+ years to reap the full benefits of his example, which is not the norm nowadays.

Depends on how affordable the technology can get. I think it is still a ways out before it is truly affordable in a way of replacing regular tiles.
Also, I wonder how this product stands up to hurricanes and such and what my insurance will be to cover such.
What is delivery date on this product?
Posted on 5/11/17 at 7:22 pm to fightin tigers
It depends where you are at.
Houston, I pay about 7 cents per kW-hr
In California, they pay 32 cents per kW-hr
You can pay off solar panels quick at those insane prices

Assuming the market stays open for energy buy back. Where you can actually profit off of the product.
I just don't know if energy gets more expensive from this point forward

I'm curious to know if we are using LESS energy per household now. Is it increasing yearly or going down?
I know we are getting much better at energy efficiency.

As society advances, we use more energy and consume more food.

Per person? Even with all the advances? Not saying you're wrong I just would have guessed the opposite.
Posted on 5/11/17 at 11:21 pm to I Love Bama
We use as much energy or anything for that matter that isn't cost prohibitive.
