A colonoscopy won't save my life, if they puncture my intestine.

Of course your car can't get you to work, if you are involved in a fatal wreck. Colonoscopies are safer bub.

Not according to what I have read.

Colonoscopies are a scam, but if it makes you happy to have a metal rod shoved up your rectum, more power to you.

I got the car for $2000 cheaper than KBB value, but thanks for trying to make me feel bad.

Educate yourself on your health like you do your Corolla buying. It is not a metal rod that I shove in your anus, it is a high definition fiberoptic flexible endoscope.

Are there actually people out there that don't haggle?

You should have read the Will Cover guide to buying cars. Would have saved you another 1-2k most likely.

Well this is what I did. MSRP on 2014 Lexus is 63189, they offered it to me for 59,000 because I am a "repeat customer." I got them down to 57500. They offered me 35,000 for my trade in but I told them I went to Carmax 20 days ago, they offered me 37000 and that is what I was hoping to get. They came back and matched that price. I never did go to Carmax. I just wish, I would have said another 500 or so but who knows if they would have matched it. I am satisfied with my purchase price and trade in value.

Not trying to make you feel bad. Buyers remorse is terrible and could lead to even worse situations.

I'm just trying to understand this:

quote:

Yesterday, I bought a new Toyota Corolla. I checked the dealerships website and they had 3 Corollas on an "internet sale."

Two of them were for $14,176 and one was for 14,990. As soon as I came in the door, I told the salesman that I wanted the Corolla that was on an internet sale for $14,000. Note that I was already haggling because none of their cars were on sale for the flat 14k.

quote:

When we sat down to negotiate, the salesman showed paperwork that offered $14,999 for the Corolla and $3500 for the trade-in. He falsely claimed that I said I wanted the Corolla that was on sale for $14,999. I know I did not.

The way this reads to me... You wanted one of the 2 cars that were on the internet listed at $14,176, not the one listed at $14,999.

You bought a car at $14,176.

Don't feel like this is a bad deal if it's not. Internet prices can often be difficult to beat. I tried every dealer in the state for my Accord, and none could beat the first internet list price I got. However, I didn't "haggle" the price.

If you actually purchased a higher trim model than the advertised special, for the advertised price, then it may also be a good deal. But your OP is misleading.

However, if I put $3,000 down, all I have to do is pay $158 a month for 4 months, then I can pay it all off and avoid the 7% interest.

After you buy the car, ask for that in writing. They won't be able to provide it to you. Pay car off the next week. They get a chargeback on commissions from the finance company if you refi or pay off the car sooner.

We deal with this all the time when we try to refi car loans. It's bullshite. You can pay it off or refi immediately. We urge our customers to take the dealer financing with the rebates, then come to us to refi.

There's a guy who posts on here that shared some car negotiating tips. Next time, read them.

An endoscope is an instrument that is impossible to sterilize.

50,000 people a year die of colon cancer. The average age when this cancer first develops is 71.

70,000 people a year are seriously injured or even killed by colonoscopies.

Doing a colonoscopy violates the first rule of the Hyppocratic Oath. First do no harm.

If I would have said nothing, I would have been out $1300.

My OP is not misleading.

I wrote that I got a "fair" deal. Never said I got a great deal.

Sounds like you got hosed. Why not sell the car on your own making thousands more? Why did you nto get the car for 14000? What were you thinking?

You do realize the number of fatalities of cancer is probably heavy depressed due to the high number of screening?

And I suspect the second number is heavily skewed towards "injuries" rather than "fatalities"

Because there is no way of guaranteeing I would ever sell the car and in the mean time, it keeps depreciating.

I certainly don't feel like I got hosed. See my link above.

Not true.

There's no evidence colonoscopy screening saves lives, according to the U.S. Cancer Society.

Put the U.S. Cancer society info up. I can say with certainty a colonoscopy saved my life at age 47 when a malignant stage III tumor was found. There are a lot of young people in their 20's that have KRAS mutant or other whose lives are saved every year. A lot of people in their 40s and 50s are diagnosed via colonoscopies every year. It is the 4th most common cancer diagnosed in the US with an estimated 138k new cases in 2014, and 20% of those are ages 20 - 54. Keep spouting your drivel.
