It would split before it went to zero. Make no mistake about it, you can lose everything playing these leveraged etfs.

Side note: 10 day weather outlook on weather.com is showing 60% chance of snow showers in mid to south LA.

We really need the east cost to get hit with the cold weather. That area alone has like half the residents in the US. I would actually say that weather map is not favorable for UGAZ at this time.

Thanks for the map though. We need more posts like that.

so let me see if I get this right:

if the weather is predicted to be cold for the next 3-6 months I should by UGAZ while its low and then sell it when it gets higher in 2-3 months

if the weather is predicted to be warmer for the next 3-6 months I should by DGAZ while its low and then sell it when it gets higher in 2-3 months

How far off base am I?

I was reading about leaveraged ETFs and they are WAY out of my league.

I'm far from an expert but you're on the right track. However, keep in mind you are only thinking about the demand. I think we have a supply problem as well that is pushing prices down.

If ugaz doesn't go back up I could be throwing in the towel for a while. Between this and exxi, the money board hasn't been very good to me

Take this for what it's worth, a 240 hour model run. That's next Friday morning.

Nothing personal. Just a mere observation.
