2.5% at Bank of Boston (I think that’s the name) . Recommended by someone on this board. I’ll check name when I get back in my office
Edit: East Boston Savings Bank. I have it linked to my credit union as well as American Express Savings. Moving between all 3 no issues

If you have a Fidelity account, their SPRXX money market is currently 2.25%.

Why wouldn't I just pick up a bond fund with a high yield like SPHIX?

You could, but that is a junk bond fund with an expense ratio of 0.7%. This thread is about saving/money market which is practically impossible to lose money in. A bond fund you can still lose principal.
I do use short term investment grade corp bonds for part of my emergency fund and bonds in my investment portfolio. I don't do longer term/riskier corp bonds as the risk of correlation with the stock market becomes too much.
I'll take risk on the stock/equity side where my bonds are for safety. There is a quote something to the effect that "more money has been lost chasing yield than at the point of a gun".

Live Oak bank does 2.3% right now. I use them for my emergency fund. Zero complaints.
EDIT: I just stumbled onto Vio. They are doing 2.45% no fees with $100 min.

For those using Marcus and stating 2.25%, are yall doing the 7 month no penalty CD or standard online savings account?

Just tried to open an account with them. I went through the whole process and at the end it gave me a message saying they couldn't open an account at this time...

Savings...I haven't dabbled in their CD offering.

Marcus lowers rates to 2.00%, down from 2.15% about a month ago, and 2.25% prior to that.
Posted on 8/27/19 at 10:29 pm to TigerDeBaiter
I noticed Marcus was dropping the interest rate as well. Anyone thinking of moving to another high yield savings account because of this? If so, what are the good / comparable options now, or are others decreasing rates too?

Market rates have declined so it makes sense the HYS rate would adjust accordingly.

PNC just dropped me from 2.35 to 2.15

We've dropped ours from 2.25 to 1.8 or so. 3 month bill isn't a bad idea right now at all. Bank Money market yields/savings accounts rates can be changed whenever they want. I'm betting we lower ours again next week.

RA'd. Not the board for this not everyone here would know its a joke.
You can also check out Schwab OP. Their money funds are all around 2% and you can very easily invest the money in other funds.

Live Oak bank is still holding steady at 2.3%. I've been thrilled with them.

Vio seems to have a lot of bad reviews and seems that this happens to a lot of people after they already have all of your information.

That is not good. I knew nothing of them other than they appeared on the lists for high savings rate. I should find out whether that was nerdwallet, bankrate or what where it was posted.
