Playing foosball in 1971 for money when my drunk opponents, honked off about losing, refused to pay and started to mouth off about taking me outside. My partner says "OK lets go" in a coona$$ accent. His name...Arthur Cantrelle. They changed their mind, paid up and left

Best:

Saw Leonard Mitchell at McDonald's one day in the early 80's with my 2 young children. Knew him because I was doing one of the study hall/tutor session for athletes that were conducted during that time. He smiled and said hi and started talking to my kids and made them feel really special. GREAT guy!

Worst:

Nothing really happened, but in 1969, was at the Keg on Highland Road with some friends. Art Cantrelle walked in, and it was like everyone kind of migrated to the other side of the room to stay away from him while he drank and played the pinball machines. Kind of tense... Had quite a reputation! :)

Hate to speak of the dead, but right after finals one semester mid-80's, Eric Andolsek was at Fred's main entry, very drunk, and talking to a bouncer. I walked up to show my ID, and EA just picked me up with both hands by the neck then sat me back down. He was just being an arse.

Best- Had classes with Ronald Dupree, Reggie Robinson, Ben Wilkerson, Rudy Nuswanger, Bull Hurley, David Jones, Rohan Davey, Bennie Brazell, Shyrone Carey, Josh Reed & Skyler Green....all very down to earth and would talk to everybody in class and if we met them out of class were the same guys.

Worst-Mostly baseball players that did not contribute much to the team...always were major pricks...

However,a cpl starters Wally Pontiff and Rick Greene were super nice. Greene came back after being in MLB sat right next to me in speech class when 911 happened...great guy

Eddie Furnace is my mom's doctor. The first time she saw him she said she had seen him play and he thought he meant in high school. His office has lots of pics of his days at LSU. When she said that our family had baseball season tickets (mom and dad travel from TX to LSU for baseball games often) he whipped out his cell phone and spent 30 minutes showing my mom pics of the new Alex Box he had taken right when it opened.

Ran into Paul Byrd in a small cafe and we talked for a while, couldn't have been nicer and we talked about how LSU baseball had changed since he first showed up.

Have met a lot of the baseball players over the years and never really had a bad incident.

Best: partying with the entire baseball team @ Auburn in 2000

Worst: Theriot and fontenot big leagues the shite out of us after a cubs game. No other fans were around and we were chanting LSU and it was just them in the parking lot and they didn't even throw us a look or a wave.

Was run over twice by Dalton Hilliard once my senior year we played Franklin high, and Patterson in 3 team scrimage for spring I was strong saftey tried to tackle Dalton 1 on 1 he ran right over me and again in mens adult softball tournament in lafayette try to turn double play at second he almost knocked me into left field. Best experience playing with tommy hodson, allan risher, dale behggy, and micky guidry in baton rouge ancient athletes society leauge all great guys. Until some idiot playing softball in spikes tried to spike hodson in the face while turning two. What an idiot had never played befor did,nt even know who tommy was almost got his lights punched out. We still laugh about that.

It was the summer of 1967 in the old gym armory building. I was a 19 year old basketball fanatic who would play pickup games with a few other fanatics at night. No air conditioning of course so we sweated gallons and spent as much time at the water fountain as on the court.

One night there appeared a mountain of a man. Six feet four and maybe 250 pounds. I was 5'8" 170 lbs. The new guy said he wanted to get in shape and let's play full court. He and another guy picked teams and he picked me. We had a great game and everyone was amazed at what a good athlete this giant was.

It was Remi Prudhomme and he was just absolutely the best guy I ever knew. At the time he was playing pro ball with I think the Buffalo Bills. But he had no ego and was just down to earth, wisecracking. Nice to everyone and just having a blast playing ball with a bunch of kids who had very little talent but a lot of enthusiasm.

Cooking jambalaya outside of Williams-Brice Stadium a few years ago, and a guy walks up and asks if he and his friend can buy some. My drunk arse says hell no, but you can have all you want. He introduced himself as Joe Albergamo. Of course it's Nacho. He spent about an hour hanging out and eating with us.

ahhhhh, yes.....ol' Joe Albergamo. I wish he'd just accept the past and enjoy the fame.

When I lived in STL, my cousin worked at the bar Jim Edmonds owns. Edmonds was playing for the Cubs at the time and they were in town, so they had the 2nd anniversary of the bar party that weekend. I went to watch the LSU game and my cousin brought me into where the private party was. Theriot came up and introduced himself to me because I was wearing an LSU shirt.

Ran into Mett and his mom in the french quarters either two days or the day before the 2012 NCG same day the Saints had a game I can't remember.

Met Big Baby at this little grille on Tulane's campus he was dancing around the place that it was like watching a bull in a china shop

Both cool guys
