I enjoyed the hell out of the student section and participated in some of the raunchy cheers aka "you suck" during oweo. That doesn't bother me... When people started adding "cock" I started bitching them out.
TBH... suck that tiger dick is just stupid. I'm all for the frick you saban and frick you tebow cheers, but this one just sounds really fricking stupid.

And im not even old. Im 26 and, like others, Im not offended by profanity in the stadium. I know better than to take my daughter to SEC games or certain sections during non conference games. The only problem i have, is when the student section gets really awesome songs that help define our gameday atmosphere, banned by acting like high schoolers. You're in college now.. People dont think you're cool if smoke or know cuss words. I LOVE our student section, and how rowdy it is (i still sit there sometimes), but its ridiculous that youre "defending" them on this subject.
And times do change, as do the songs the band is allowed to play, thanks to sheep-mentality vulgarity.

Let's say LSU runs a segment on the jumbotron before the game in which LSU players say that "Neck" gets them jacked up and imploring fans not to add profanity because they don't want to lose it. Would it matter to the student section?

possibly, but with the way the team trash talks (and you all are probably on that thread bitching as well) i dont think they would do that, and i dont think most of the students would be paying attention anyway

Its college football the players dont give a damn about how the students change up the lyrics. As said they are on the field trash talking to the other team probably saying much more vulgar things than the fans are. But thats part of the sport just like having those fans who dont know how to act. If you dont like it stop going to the fricking games.
