When did this start? I graduated in 1998 and I don't think it existed; I know the chant didn't, but I don't think the band even played this song.
Same here. The worst we had was on the First Down cheer "Kick their arse!".

Can't we revive Tiger Rag for god's sake? A much more storied song associated with the program. The vulgarity associated with that was much more innocuous than this garbage.

The only people who would even remember the vulgarity in tiger rag are graduate students. So they really should bring it back.

One of the many reasons we dont expect you to get this, much less give a frick about it. Im like USMCtiger, the song is bad arse when played during games. Watching the crowd reaction when it is played at the right time (GOing up 31-13 on the ducks in the third quarter), is one of the coolest things in college football today. Why take a chance of losing the chant, like last year, just so you can scream a couple of cuss words, and look like a cool guy in front of your sororsitute?

Right. Just like the guy who has three cars up on blocks in his yard, aluminum foil in his windows, and weeds and grass up to his waist doesn't care what his neighbors think about his house.

Just understand that you're that guy. You're the dirty, classless redneck that is embarrassing the rest of us.

The outrage and indignation over the vulgarity of the cheer is an endless source of personal amusement.

I'm not a student, I'm an old man. Objectively speaking, though, the cheer isn't really that offensive. It's nonsensical.

P.S. If you bring a child to any large sporting event, you can expect them to be exposed to some profanity. It happens at literally every sporting venue I have ever attended, from college football to the NFL to the NHL to the NBA to that old American icon Wrigley Field. People swear at sporting events.

Yes and I am sure all of the parents that tried to teach their children better and are paying all that money for tuition is very excited to hear their child screaming, "Suck that Tiger dick bitch!" in public in front of children and in front of fans that have no choice but to sit next to the student section

By the way, what happen to the good ole days of yelling out, "bullshite, bullshite", to a bad call

i'm a student and I refuse to take part in the idiotic chant...not only does it make our fans look horrible, but it also gets banned one of the best songs the band plays. the idiot students doing the chant are also the first to complain when the song gets banned every year. its not rocket science folks...if you like the song and dont want it to be banned, then dont do the chant.

I'm personally not bothered by, nor do I really care about, any chants from the student section.

For better or worse, though, certain powers that be in the university do -- to the point that they've opted to forbid the band playing a storied song that's been a part of LSU football since around the 1940s.

Personally, I think that approach is a stupid way to deal with it, but it still pisses me off nevertheless, and I wish they would agree to stop and allow the song back being played at games.

The Neck song is not bad, but I guess I'm not as wrapped up in that because it is so new.

Hearing a curse word from time to time is a little different from "suck that Tiger dick, bitch."

yep, im a dirty classless redneck. thats why i'll miss all the games this year teaching some of your idiot kids on saturday mornings/afternoons. all im saying is students dont give a shite what you think. i dont like the cheer, but i will also defend my student section since no one else on here will. i'll invite any of you rantards to my tailgate and you wont find a student there who would act like an arse to an opposing fan. yes our student section is vulgar, rowdy, and inept at times but you won't change it.

The student section is the only life left in Tiger Stadium. Always has been.

That being said, the dumb shite they say now is just that...DUMB. We didn't do any of that back in the day and were still plenty lound and rowdy. And the band could play ALL the old traditional songs and chants.

this isn't entitlement, and how exactly do you think you will make a difference in the student section? going to come give a speech to the frat houses, or a large class and tell us how un-classy we are? guaranteed most of the people you encounter will subscribe to this mentality

The students (me included) aren't going to stop saying it.

Might as well go down in a blaze of glory.

I can't believe Cameo hasn't re-written that song yet. I mean the student's version is MUCH better!
