I scored 20 on the sample test without a pencil and paper to help with math.

It's like the LSAT.

Are people that score 49 using calculators?

No

Pretty shocked I only scored a 34. Spent way too much time on certain longer math problems when I should have educated guessed more quickly or just skipped ahead. I lost track of the timer so ended up with 14 questions unseen. With better strategy, I woulda coulda shoulda have gotten a 40+.
Nice link. Never took that test before.

I think this test is a waste of an athlete's or football players time because they are getting paid based on their athletic ability and football smarts. shite, I scored a 29 on it myself, but I didn't waste a lot of time on the harder math problems and frickin just guessed and answered as many as I could as fast as possible. But I mean these guys aren't neurologist's or anything, so these kind of tests are meaningless. They should give them a test that is more football based and have them answer questions testing their mental aptitude in X and O's. Have them explain different formations and coverages, explain where they should be at on the field and what their responsibilities are, etc.

Pretty frickin worthless , agreed. But it makes sense that QB's and O-linemen do the best. Those are certainly the most cerebral of all positions, and I'd want a higher scoring, generally "bright" guy with all other attributes being equal. All other positions, meh... especially for running backs.

Test is stupid. For a running all I'm concerned with is whether or not he is 'straight with rock' and JZ so eloquently put it.

Funny stuff. Rich.
Every time there's any mention of Wonderlic scores, all the LSU Athlete Worshipper/Idolizer types get all defensive and upset when their favorite "LSU football player god" scores ridiculously low.
Multitudes of desperate "Pump Lump" like excuses then follow in defense of the low scores.
(Just like the PL defense of LSU Athletic team failure)

Lol. I think some of these claimed scores here are the equivalent of "I've got a ten-inch dick and I'm married to an OT ten."
36, btw.

47.
Didn't actually take the test; just extrapolating my score based on the scores posted and this board's average tardness.

I think you probably hit on the most accurate and efficient way.

Of course it is an Alabama site saying this. Where are the freaking Alabama players scores?
Cue the scene for the Bama scores...

I'm well aware of what it measures. Vince Young is the only example I can think of where there might be a correlation between a low test score and failing in the NFL.
Do you know of a player who was or wasn't drafted because of his WL score?

These kids from Louisiana with low scores really surprise me given they went to Louisiana public schools

The player being talked about here went to one of those Louisiana parochial schools.
I'm pretty sure the test is part of the combine and there is no opportunity to skip that part of it. Being that it's only 12 minutes an athlete has no real reason to sandbag the test.
These historically low scores from a number of institutions has to be addressed by someone someday.
