No they aren't they are tests of specific domain knowledge they just happen to correlate to IQ.

IQ tests should be designed so prior experience has no relationship to performance. You can complete Ravens without ever doing a reasoning task but you couldn't complete the ACT without ever doing math.

The guy can't pull out or figure out how to wear a condom, and you expect him to score average or higher on the wonderlic test?

Isn't the story that Mo Claiborne didn't even "try" because he said upfront it had nothing to do with football. Or at least that's what Mo Claiborne apologists say.

I took a sample one once and did okay. But all these guys are going to be millionaires so I guess it worked out for them.

38 here. Tough test

The average score according to that site is around a 23. So a score of around 10-15 is pretty bad.

Yeah I answered all the ones I finished correctly. I think around low 20s. Can't remember the exact score. The time goes by quicker than you think once you start working.

People really don't understand the reality of these "tests" and ignore many aspects of them.

In some ways they have very little to do with intelligence, but what you've been exposed to.

Standardized tests are not true measures of genius or stupidity. They can give you a glimpse in some cases as to the level of intelligence but are based on prior knowledge/experience.

Similarly, things like spatial visualization (being able to see 3d objects and rotate them mentally) is a skill that comes with experience that not all people get. It's not about intelligence. Similar with many of the things in this test.

Also, the time aspect of it is something. It measures quick math skills for example. You may be able to get the right answer, but it will take you some time.

Agreed. I just starting almost taking educated guesses towards the end to get more answers in.

49 in 11:32

and I agree that the time does go by pretty fast. I spent a bit too much time on a couple of them and had to blow through others quickly.

Should we be surprised that these products of the Louisiana education system who couldn't care less about education are barely literate?
