I saw him the first series, made a nice catch and move for the first down then never saw him after. It be nice to see him more involved. Diarse has been struggling, Dupre has had his moments. Hopefully he gets some more shots, Quinn has the potential to be really dangerous and a huge weapon for us going forward. I'm not saying he should be starting over the receivers we have playing now but I certainly think he should have more opportunities. I know he fell off last year but the kid has talent and I think he would be an asset in the passing game for Harris

He had a ton of opportunities last year. The drops speak for themselves. He was big in the OM game.

I feel he may transfer also, but I think he fits perfectly in our offense. He's a great short to mid range route runner and have great speed. At most schools he would probably be close to the lead in receptions bc of his style. I'd like to see more of what him on the mid range crossing routes.

He's just not as good as our other options. If he wants to showcase his skills for the NFL he should look to transfer. If he's not NFL caliber then enjoy the ride and hope the coaches call your number.

I'd like to see him get a little more playing time after those Diarse drops. If not, I could see him transferring after the season.

Diarse with garbage hands this past weekend, one of which would have been a probable TD

Right now, Diarse is a big body that can block. I think that Quinn needs to focus on the weight room, improve techniques, and come back for a big Junior and Senior run. It would not hurt the guy to red-shirt.

I'd prefer to see Chark have more opportunites.

When LSU starts throwing more is when Quinn will get more snaps. Right now the WR corp gets what it gets.

17 catches last year, a couple of drops

Diarse had two drops last game

Get over last year, this kid has game.

If you are going to judge the receives on this team who have 2 drops or more than every receiver on the team needs to go. And that would include the duo of Landry and Odell B.

Quinn runs good routes, blocks and does not line up incorrectly.

I am not judging Diarse either, I like him in the game. Why are Quinns drops being talked about so much on this board. A mistake against Bama is more important than any other game?

You know why and it's bullshite. Quinn is a capable reciever and I'm sure we'll see more of him.

We do not throw many to the middle of the field. Our QB's don't look for it, and after JLee, it is very seldom called. When the TE or slot guys get a pass it is usually wide open. We could be far more prolific if we did this.

Also, I think Quin was put in the slot last year, but that was somewhat out of position for him. With his speed he could have easily been on the outside. If you look at the offense Dupree came from, Quin was easily a more polished receiver and has ability to break away as well as out jumping the DB. It think Dupree has improved tremendously, but is still learning the position. He has far better upside.

I also think that Quinn got blown up a few times with Jennings being late on throws last year and it showed in drops. He looks bigger this year and does seem to have accepted his role. I also think if you look at how Jeter was lit up against Auburn, Harris is doing some of the same things as Jennings, slow release, late on a read. However, the rocket arm he has helps with this. Until Harris gets better, we will continue to run Fornette and try to throw down the field. If you look at most of our pass plays, we have multiple receivers running wide open, they are selling out on the run. We just don't have a QB who can trly take advantage of the play action pass. Also, line play Sat didn't help.

same here. Why not more 'chark get more pt' threads instead of all these Quinn threads?

People here are way too quick to dismiss Quinn. He's still the real deal. I'd be surprised if he didn't get more opportunities than a Diarse next game.

Quinn is a gym rat.

improve techniques

The story with Quinn was that he has always worked very hard at this. I think his high school numbers speak for themselves:
quote:

Stands as the national all-time career leader in receiving yards with 6,566 in four seasons at Barbe … Holds the Louisiana state record for career receptions (357) and receiving yards (6,566) …

I'm not worried about Quinn, but I think he isn't seeing the field much as we aren't throwing often. Diarse likely is a better run blocker and that keeps Quinn off the field.
