This doesn't make sense. It took a shitload of work to dig us out of the shite hole Hallman put us in.

2) An incredible troll of the visiting team.

So yes, honor Dinardo during a Florida game.

Should have done it last year when we played USC and Spurrier as the 15 yr anniversary. The 97 game was on Oct 11th and the USC game was on Oct 13th.

If he publicly apologizes for the Tepper hire he can come during a Florida game but only if most of the team comes too

I agree about Tepper but maybe we should bring Tepper back also...without him we may nopt have 2 national titles

That would have been solid!

Yeah I guess in a way we can thank Tepper for showing us how defense should never be played.

If we honor Dinardo for the 1997 Florida game, should we also honor Hallman for the Alabama pigs fly win?

Dinardo did a lot of good for the program but I don't think he deserves special recognition.

Makes plenty of sense. Only where to go was up. I've had season tickets since the latter Hallman days and while Dinardo did much better he quickly petered out, mostly due to being stubborn IMO. Had he put program first he would have lasted longer. The Tepper insanity drove me to increase my game day alcohol intake substantially.lol The guy was a definite improvement but fell on his face and elected to eat a bullet rather than make changes.

Really was. had great assistants, lost them, and couldn't replace them.

Me either. Just fans should recognize what he actually did for LSU. Nothing public though.

BS, he refused to hire Rich Rodreguez as OC, instead promoted his inept WR Coach. He had three HS All America Quarterbacks on the bench and never developed any of the three.
What a foundation.

I love Dinardo, he is the reason that I have such great season tickets!

If they recognized Archer I don't see why they wouldn't recognize Dinardo for the three good years he did have.
Saban can never show up here again as far as I'm concerned.

I thought Tommy Casanova and Billy Cannon played before Dinardo. I can agree that Faulk was the most important recruit of the Dinardo years, but not in the history of the LSU program.

May have ended up better players, but were not more important recruits.

the world gives saban credit for what dinardo did. LSU was primed after dinardo was let go. the hard head should have fired lou tepper, who, imo, was the worst DC i have ever seen in college ball. he wanted our defense to have phd's or something. he was the epitomy of "those that can, do. those that can't, teach". dinardo was the one responsible for bringing LSU out of the wilderness and saban won his NC with dinardo's players (according to the version of the miles hating sabanistas).

DiNardo laid the foundation for which Saban built the house on. That first SEC team was loaded with talented DiNardo players.

Obviously, Gerry would have never gotten us to the next level, but he did help us get there by beginning the process of locking up our borders.

All of this. Plus LSU games finally were on tv instead of me trying to listen to games on the radio and LSU getting their arse beat

What state did the guy come from?

A state where all the previous top players were going to Miami, FSU, Tennessee, and Colorado.

Know how I know the guy asking those questions is under 25?

Gerry D did a lot for turning the program around. I'm not sure Saban could have done what he did here with out the turn around under DiNardo.
