This is the rant - most folks on here have forgotten more football knowledge than the Hat - you should know that.

You mean win away from home against a nationally ranked team while breaking in a new QB, new receivers, and making haft time adjustments?

You clowns are just disappointed because we won.

As usual, the Miles haters have consistently contradicted themselves at every turn. It does not matter what this man or this team does, their opinions will never change and are, for the most part, baseless.

Feel free to address my "baseless"complaint from earlier in this thread

Am I missing something?
Yes. While some of is were goofing off going to school at LSU, countless others were brave enough to rise above that and focus nonstop on figuring out a way to watch LSU football relentlessly and never enjoy it.

What does this shite even mean? So like a great come back win against a top 15 team that has a Heisman trophy candidate RB and will probably only lose 1 game all year? I'll take that...

LSU run game non-existent: Behind what some felt was one of the top offensive lines in the SEC, LSU struggled mightily with just 17 yards on 15 carries. The play-calling was too conservative with no imagination in the run game, but the offensive line was beaten by a front seven that did not return a starter from last year’s unit.

A&M didn't break in these things also?

People upset after last night have absolutely no idea what it is like to compete at the highest levels and no idea what the coaches can and cannot influence. Basically they are simpletons who feel their ill informed opinion has value when it does not.

The team looked unprepared. Personnel issues, Quinn didn't know which side to line up on a few times, multiple delay of game penalties, not showing life 2.5 quarters into the game.

Good win, though.

Yeah, our great coaching explains why Wisconsin's players and fans are perplexed at why Gordon got no more carries in the second half.

Man, some of you people attacking Miles constantly disgust me. Stop being a spoiled brat and grow up. He is only human, every coach has weaknesses.

Say what you want, but Les Miles will leave this school as the winningest coach in our football history. The guy has us competing at a high level every season, we average 10 wins per season right now for frick's sake.

He has won more games in his 9 years at LSU than any other SEC school, 2 SEC championships, 1 national championship, yet you people are still so entitled you feel the need to ridicule every single thing he does.

He is the best thing to ever happen to this school's football program and many of you don't realize it or take it for granted. Get a life and stop revolving your life around LSU football, enjoy the glory years we are lucky to witness, and be happy that we aren't still stuck in the 90's.

I thought it was a great win. Miles did a very good job of containing the damage, and correcting it.

I think the 2 most focused and motivated teams that played this weekend, based on what I saw, were A&M and Wisconsin. Both were good teams that were being (or perceived they were) majorly disrespected, had no chance, etc, despite having proven systems. A&M had the "no more JFF" factor, Wisconsin had the "Big 10 can't touch the SEC" factor. Both teams came out to prove a point.

South Carolina got punched in the mouth hard, and Steve Spurrier couldn't turn it around.

LSU got punched in the mouth hard too, but Les Miles was able to get his team refocused. They sucked it all up and fought hard enough to overcome the hole they were in, and won.

Carolina was ranked higher than we were, Wisconsin was ranked higher than A&M was. But I guarantee had Spurrier been able to rally his team to victory, he would be hailed as a great coach, and A&M would be given props for playing lights-out, despite having big holes in their defense. Here, Les did rally the team, but he's a dumbass who holds the players back, and Wisconsin was an overrated team who shouldn't be ranked because they can't pass.

I agree the lines played better in the second half but the first half was atrocious and time management was an issue multiple times. Having an objective opinion doesn't make me a Miles hater, just realistic. I hope we go undefeated but the coaching this game was generally poor to average.

This may not make you a Miles hater but you are just flat out wrong(and I bet you really are a Miles hater)
The game last night showed what good coaching is all about. Initial game plan not working make changes until it does. Team never loses their focus/intensity and belief in their abilities, fights there arse off and comes back for the win. Just because everything wasn't perfectly executed in the first game of the year doesn't mean there was poor coaching...

So recruiting great players and winning games against really good teams is all we have to look forward to? Man, it's gonna suck being an LSU fan from here on out....

We really have some dumb fricking fans
