I don't see a lot of Miles hate this morning, but I don't see how anyone can justify our offensive scheme in the first half. It was like watching a bad re-run.

We were scared to open it up with a young QB that they don't have much confidence in. That added in with the fact we had no running room led to a slow half. When we fell behind and had to put up points we did

We scored on 1 of 9 drives (7 punts, 1 fumble). It's tough to do worse than that.

Why should this morning be any different than all the others after an LSU win?

Game was amazing. Tiger baiting the UW fans was the best part. Miles did a great job keeping them in it.

I don't hate LM but I do t love him the way some here do.

Fact is we looked lost, overmatched, and unprepared for 3qrtrs.

LSU was very fortunate to win.
If I were badger fan I'd be furious at coach for not running ball every play after they were up 17 on 3rd qrter.

Best we can hope for is improvement from defense and online and qb in particular each week .

Said that all last year with defense and never happened.... Anybody remember talk after second half vs auburn and uga game?

Ole miss and Alabama beat us because we were terrible on defense.
Idk, I'm seeing 3 losses maybe 4.
Hope they prove me wrong.

Didn't say it wasn't bad. But poor execution, no running game, a young QB, and some bad play calls were all factors, no just the head coach.

and basically got lucky that Wisky stopped feeding Gordon. That was not great coaching.
Maybe you should go back and rewatch the second half. The reason we won were because of adjustments made on both sides of the ball. On D, Run stuffing blitzes on every first down caused them into more predicted passing situations. On O, running out of a trips formation against their nickel D was the answer. That is coaching!!!

Exactly. Other than an absolute zero for a quarterback (please tell me they will reinstate Stave next week) and Gordon's disappearing act, our O and D categorically dominated an otherwise solid team to the end.

People upset after last night have absolutely no idea what it is like to compete at the highest levels and no idea what the coaches can and cannot influence. Basically they are simpletons who feel their ill informed opinion has value when it does not.

I think Miles did a fine job. How many coaches would have called the fake punt that kickstarted our dominance in the last 20 minutes of playing time? Yes, the first half was a disaster, but that rests on a lot of people besides Miles. Fournette and Harris did not show up, so they got limited play. That is good decision making, IMO.

2 quarters. We gave up one big play to start the second half which they capitalized on. Then we allowed 32 yards the rest of the game. We also scored on our next 4 possessions to take the lead. So first 2 quarters, bad. Last 2 quarters all LSU. Coaches made adjustments at halftime and we kicked arse.

We stacked the line and forced them to throw, that's why Gordon disappeared. They couldn't throw on us and we knew it.

Jennings looked a whole lot better once the offensive line woke up.

Yeah, our great coaching explains why Wisconsin's players and fans are perplexed at why Gordon got no more carries in the second half. I agree the lines played better in the second half but the first half was atrocious and time management was an issue multiple times. Having an objective opinion doesn't make me a Miles hater, just realistic. I hope we go undefeated but the coaching this game was generally poor to average.

Fify.

Gordon is not much of a receiver. We were stacking the line and run blitzing forcing them to throw. That is why he disappeared.

As far as Wisconsin fans being confused, well that's on them.

Wow. That is a perfectly spot on observation. I am going to steal that.

We had idiots behind us that bitched at miles for everything we did. They were screaming about taking the timeout before the two point conversion. One guy said, "Damn Miles just take the penalty you dumbass and kick the extra point."

That is just a lack of understanding of football and, in general, math. You should have told them to go back to the second grade to learn addition and subtraction.

I think your statement is pretty spot on. Miles gets it for the most part in my opinion. He doesn't stray from the plan and trusts in what they in have in place. When things got tough we made the necessary adjustments. He understands it isn't a sprint, and it's how you finish not how you start

Hell the guy in front of us was screaming at the top of his lungs at welter on one play and I looked around to find he wasn't even on the field
