WV throws the ball a lot and we have the best secondary in the country (some say of all time). It pits their strength against our strength and most people think we will easily win. Plus, their defense is weak and MSU has a better defense.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see WVU bust out to an early lead. They'll be fired up and the stadium is going to be electric.

We'll most likely wear them down over the course of the game, though.

yet, maryland was driving for the winning score.

MARYLAND

lsu's defense is monumentally better than maryland's. heck, lsu's offense is better than maryland's.

you can talk about the stars at wr but, lsu has a backfield that can hang with anybody. not to mention the pressure coming from the front. smith is in for a long day.

Anyone concerned about how our Linebackers match up with the crossings routes or the running backs cathcing passes out of the backfield? It's the only area that concerns me. It's where I think they may try to exploit our Defense.

WVA is a rehash of Oregon with a weaker defense
that's a good point. oregon's secondary was actually quite good

another good point. msu's defensive performance thurs night was inspired. they played a heck of a game on defense against us.

they are exactly the same as oregon, same offensive gameplan, our defense shut down oregon so we will shut down WVA.

da fcuk? see: texas tech under mike leach for a better comparison. the offense works really well.. speedsters dragging across the middle, easy pass > big play.

i like our chances in this game though

If we keep with the gameplan of ball control and actually punch it in instead of fg's they wont have the ball that much anyway.

IMHO... we will have to bring it just like with UO.
we know we can stop the run, but we must stop the passing threat....
the formula is simple..a QB needs "x" amount of time to throw a pass 15-20 yards. Our D line must deny them that time, as they did in UO game, thus forcing them to run.

What does wvu's talent on offense have anything to do with Maryland driving near the end of the game? I know lsu is talented you don't have to preach that to me. Wvu is as well, which a Lot of people on here refuse to agree with.

our offense is setup to help us in this game and every team that runs a spread. we will run the clock with the run game and they will have to be able run the ball to keep their defense off the field and that will play to our hand in the 4th Q. our defense will have to play very discpline in the d-back field and i'm sure we are capabale. not saying it is going to be easy but we should come out on top.

obviously, wv's offense wasn't able to work in tandem with the defense to keep maryland from ever even getting close.

that's not what i've seen. people are trying to get across to you that wv is one dimensional and you don't want to face lsu or bama with that kind of offense. plus, lsu has the athletes to keep up with wv's "talent".

Just woke up. In my dream I had a predilection that LSU will be up 63-62 with 3:42 to play. LSU will have the ball.

Our D let up 62 points? not likely...LSU isn't likely to give up 32 much less 62.

I wouldnt be opposed to running a 4-2-5 D or maybe even a 4-1-6 kind of D. Use an extra Dback to stop the pass...I trust our front 4 to effectively stop the run, plus LSU likes to blitz and our defensive backs are talented enough to make plays if a running back or geno gets loose.

Someone started a thread. Why is everyone so confident we will stomp Oregon.

We replied why and it happened. We are better than WVA by far
