This game we be totally different then any game thus far. We have preparing for and playing to stop the run. WVA has excellent wideouts and will spread the field with 4 and 5 wide. This secondary is largely untested, and we will have to rely on our front 4. While I like our chances, it could still be a long night if they dink and dunk all night. Geno is a very good qb. Make no mistake about that, and this is a very different team then last year. Miles says this offense compares to Arkansas and this team has just as much talent. They will run a 3-3-5 but they will still load the box and stop the run and force us to pass. On the road that will not be as easy as some of you think. They also have a terror at defense end. I just think there is more unknowns in this game then any we have faced. I think we win, but I just don't see a blowout like some predict.

They cant run the ball if they throw 40 times i like our chances. We will get pressure on their QB and he will throw 3 picks

they are exactly the same as oregon, same offensive gameplan, our defense shut down oregon so we will shut down WVA.

No blowout at all. I do believe we should win though. Listening to Mike Detellier the other day online after the MSU game; he said this was the most intriguing game of the year for LSU up until the Bama game. He said in effect that this was the game that worried him the most because of the capabilities of Geno Smith.

So what if we have to rin a dime package all night....we have eight defensive linemen that will rotate in and out and have real game experience against high-tempo offenses....between freak and the imperial intergalactic overlord, geno smith will be running for his life....

They have 0 running game. LSU will not get that much pressure on the qb as their offense is built around getting the ball out of the qbs hands very quickly. I think the fact that they have no balance is what is going to hurt them. I'd put LSU's dbs against any in the country. If they give LSU's dbs enough opportunities, eventually they are going to pick off a few passes.

Lies, they possess no recieving core like the flagship, they have a bunch of skat backs playing WR.

Also their defense isn't as good as arkansas and that is saying something.

because lsu ranks near the top in pass defense, run defense and scoring defense of the toughest defensive conference in america. wv is going to be surprised at how much pressure lsu gets with the front 7. they are also going to be surprised at how good the coverage is in the dbackfield. the odds of lsu generating turnovers is quite good.

on the other side of the ball, lsu does just enough to keep the opposing offense off the field.

special teams, lsu does a couple of things very well.

i think the lsu run game takes over in the 4th quarter

You are misinformed or just ignorant. WVU's scheme is much different. They run a pass oriented up-tempo spread. Oregon's offense was run-oriented.

Oregon threw ball 50+ times. Our secondary should be ok.

I don't see them as a good match-up. They like to pass, and they aren't going to like our secondary. Geno has been having alot of time in the pocket, D-line won't be tempering their own rush, so look for them to have their ears pinned. Also, look for Freak to go off in this game, he should be blowing things up. Tyrann will get a TD in this one, as well. Another blow-out IMO.

Just woke up. In my dream I had a predilection that LSU will be up 63-62 with 3:42 to play. LSU will have the ball.

You can't reall compare passing from a running team vs one that passes as their strength. We will have to pressure them with the front four not seven, and i like our back 5 aganst their 4 and 5 wide. I still feel good about it, just not as good as the other games we have played
