Maybe not a blowout, but a comfortable, dominating win.
We had two extra days to rest.
Ware has a great nignt....dont' think Jarret Lee will have to win the game for us.

You are misinformed or just ignorant. WVU's scheme is much different. They run a pass oriented up-tempo spread. Oregon's offense was run

WVU offense will look some what like Oregon's offense against AU. They have a fairly small line, not much of a running game, and will be passing a lot. Geno Smith is probably has a similar skill set as Darron Thomas, but doesn't have LaMichael James to take the pressure off (not that LMJ did much against AU or LSU). Our Dline will get pressure on Geno and our secondary will make most throws pretty tough. WVU does not run the same offense as Oregon, but Oregon has pretty much resorted to a similar pass heavy attack when they faced teams with good run defense. If we shut UO down, then we can shut WVU down.

I have confidence in our coaches. The extra days to prepare are HUGE.

I trust we will win, but a curb stomping is pretty unrealistic.

It'll be more like a couch dousing than a curb stomping.

expecting a lot of screens and slants so geno can distribute fast

not only is WVU capable, but now we have this JJ bullshite coming up again

I think Chief will have a great plan focused on GS's ability to put the ball in the air 40-50 times. But you are correct in this WVU team will show us a completely different look than any we've seen thus far. That being said I do think we will see additional pressure from our corners and safety blitzes in an attempt to keep em honest. After watching them against MD they were able to move the ball pretty well and weather a fired up MD team to take the lead and hold on in the 4th. We need to play the full 60 against them.

Blessing in disguise? See the dismantling of UO for reference.

Geno smith is a completely different type of QB than Thomas. Also our top 3 WRs were 4 stars. Tavon was a 5 on scout. McCartney was an army all American 4 star. Stedman Bailey was a 4 star on rivals. Geno was an elite 11 and a 4 star. Had offers from everywhere. Our freshman RB was a 4 star. Chose us over Alabama and florida. Our defense is what lacks talent but our offense is as talented as anyone. They're far from glorified scat backs

the only close game this year will be BAMA.
Posted on 9/20/11 at 8:33 am to dreaux
I think we will win this game by 14 to 21 pts. They have not yet played a team as tough or as fast as our's. We are a more all around team than them.If we play to our ability we should not have any problems. I feel that M.C. will get another pick with some help this time. We have a very good backfield and our D. line will put alot of pressure on Geno Smith this game (that he has not yet to see). We will run and pass all over them.
(GAME OVER)

Because our team is LSU. We are 800lb Gorillas with chainsaws for dicks. We fear no one... others tremble in our sight. I expect to skull frick every single opponent and then sex up their women afterward.

Was Moo State a curb stomping? I would say, in the sense, that the bulldogs had no chance of scoring a touchdown that we curb stomped them....the score was not an indication of how bad we beat that team down.
That being said we curb stomp WV....

I believe we will win but I'm still ready for anything to happen. This is LSU here.

Our defense is better than last year.
Our offense is better than last year.
Our offense is somewhat better than last year.
Their defense is worse than last year.

You're right, Darron Thomas is better.
Darron Thomas:
6'3" 215 lbs
222/361 2881yds 61.5% 7.98ypa 30TDs 9INTs 151 rating
Geno Smith
6'3" 214 lbs
241/372 2763yds 64.8% 7.43ypa 24TDs 7INTs 144.7 rating
Darron Thomas threw 41 times against AU and 54 against LSU. Just because UO has a run game against crappy teams doesn't mean they don't know how to air it out when a good D shuts down the run. The UO offense against LSU looked very similar to what WVU will throw out against LSU.

I am so confident because it doesn't matter how good their offense is. There are only about 5 offenses in the nation right now who I wouldn't like Lsu's chances against: Alabama, Arkansas, Boise, Oklahomo, Wisconsin.
WVU is going to have a very rowdy crowd at their back, which will help them a good bit. But without cowbells to cheat with, they won't be as loud as Miss St. Plus, let's face it, you have to be a complete team to beat Lsu, barring any abnormal injury occurances or complete penalty meltdowns. WVU is far from a complete team, as Lsu will expose that this week. If you thought Lsu controlled the clock against Moo State, just wait. Who would anyone in the nation say has a better defense? A more physical defense? Which team of those two is more capable of stopping the power run? If you said WVU, your a moron.
The fact is WVU is a very good offensive team, and I'm glad for them. But it won't amount to shite when Lsu comes to town. They will put up a touchdown or two in the first half, and then get absolutely demolished in the second half, just like every team this year has been demolished after half time. And WVU fans might think Lsu's offense is down this year, but anyone who's seen an Lsu game knows it's about time of possession, and wearing down defenses that aren't very deep.
Lsu wins BIG, 24-17, lol.

WVA is a rehash of Oregon with a weaker defense. On top of that, as someone has already pointed out, LSU is an 800 LBS Gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis.
