Wrong. It had been around long before that. That's just what took it mainstream.

True! But during her appearance on CGD at Ole Piss she made it a national thing. In addition, she basically told the OU QB at the time she wanted to F his brains out. Directed him to call her.

I was most definitely called "corndog" by rabid drunk Ole Miss Fans in the Grove in 2007

Fully prepared for down votes, BUT it'd be worth the penalty if we through frozen corn dogs on the field every time we scored on ole miss.

I have never seen corndogs at a tailgate

I have seen them for sale at Ole Miss stadium and I said "Well, isn't that ironic"

We cook so much pre-game that we smell like food.

We sit at the fence in 414, right over visitors. It would be fun to throw a stack of corndog printed napkins down on them or something similarly light and will disperse.

They are good, about once every ten or 20 years. Maybe. Not native Louisiana fare, by a mile.

if you are around our tailgating tents you will be smelling food much better than some cheap arse corndogs. We usually cook seafood gumbo, fried turkey anything on a bar BQ Pit and fried fish and shrimp. I would not waste my oil on crappy corndogs.

Who cares? People can be very ignorant sometimes. Don't let it bother you.

It actually originated in Iowa. Iowa fans said Iowa state fans smelled like corn dogs at the Iowa state fair. It was explained years ago on MIKE A TIGERS blog out of Atlanta.

I think Tiger Stadium smells like bourbon, nachos, and sweat; but maybe that's just me.

The dumbest insult of any fan base. With all the great La. food & culture that the other SEC states don't have, you would think they would use something indigenous to La. Corn dogs would be the last food item I would think of & you would never see at a LSU tailgate.

Nothing sadder/funnier than an Auburn fan who swears they came up with the corndog thing.

They can’t distinguish between a Hotdog and a corndog.

Auburn Fan in a thread on Rivals.com circa 2006. Now whether or not HE was inspired by the Nebraska Corndog insult, I don't know.

What he posted in that thread was a poem written by an OU fan about Nebraska. He just changed every Nebraska thing about LSU.

Aubies have no room to talk. Walking thru their campus last Saturday I saw several corn dogs being eaten by auburn fans.

My dad went to Ole Miss and claims they've been saying we like corndogs for a very long time. They claim it is supposedly a reference to LSU being an all male university up until 1905 and a mostly male university for a good time there after. He and his friend said that when they call us corndogs or say we like corndogs or even smell like corndogs they are saying we are gay because of our historic mostly male student body. My dad and his friend are a couple of bullshitters though so I dno. They could have made all of that up.
