re: Sako L57 in .244 - mallardhank
Update Trying to get the .244 for 600. Three guns on consignment Told shop to ask owner what he'd take for all three. They're trying to reach owner now. I'd drop two grand for all three in a heartbeat. Two larger caliber are like new-.244 shows wear. Damn why did I go into that shop yesterday...

Sako L57 in .244 - mallardhank
Saw this very decent shape rifle in this rare caliber, made in 1958. Do any on the board have an idea what this gun is worth? The Sako collectors on line list this caliber as second most rare caliber. I'm learning more but need to make a quick move. This shop also had two other Sakos, in .338 ...

re: Why are the Toyota Tundra's sales numbers so terrible? - mallardhank
Didn't want to read thru 11 pages so forgive me if I'm repeating. I have a 2006 with 260grand on the dial. Absolutely love the tundra. It's the perfect size and very comfortable. However, the newer models are too big, get terrible mileage, and the dash and carpet are one standard black color unl...

Whoever said dump the balance beam scale and get a digital knows not of what he speaks. I have both. Used both. Get much more consistent results from my Ohaus M5. The one die that Lee makes that everyone should use is their factory taper crimp die - it will give you smaller groups once you've fo...

No I'm not happy that this is happening. I'm even more pissed off that the situation has gotten so out of hand that this has to happen. The truth is that it's much easier to keep them out than it is to throw them out. ...

re: What's the OB know about Puma Knives? - mallardhank
The first I remember them was back in the late '60s. I couldn't afford them then, I believe the most popular model was a Game Warden and back then it was seventy five or higher. You've got a damn fine knife that will be with you forever. If someone would instruct me as to how to post pictures...

re: What's the OB know about Puma Knives? - mallardhank
I have a nice collection of their folders. Pretty inexpensive on eBay about fifteen years ago but the Solingen Germany originals have appreciated greatly. The back packer and that line of knives with the green handles have the same quality of steel blades as the higher end lines with the wood or...

re: Banded pigeon - mallardhank
Came in too late for a dove hunt in Locust Grove Georgia about forty years ago. Farmer didn't have any spots left so my friend and I just hung out with him. So here came a flock of pigeons - farmer told us to get guns and help with pest control. They came back and we got a few, then a few more n...
