re: Are you happy? Is this what you wanted? - mallardhank
No I'm not happy that this is happening. I'm even more pissed off that the situation has gotten so out of hand that this has to happen. The truth is that it's much easier to keep them out than it is to throw them out. ...

re: What's the OB know about Puma Knives? - mallardhank
The first I remember them was back in the late '60s. I couldn't afford them then, I believe the most popular model was a Game Warden and back then it was seventy five or higher. You've got a damn fine knife that will be with you forever. If someone would instruct me as to how to post pictures...

re: What's the OB know about Puma Knives? - mallardhank
I have a nice collection of their folders. Pretty inexpensive on eBay about fifteen years ago but the Solingen Germany originals have appreciated greatly. The back packer and that line of knives with the green handles have the same quality of steel blades as the higher end lines with the wood or...

re: Banded pigeon - mallardhank
Came in too late for a dove hunt in Locust Grove Georgia about forty years ago. Farmer didn't have any spots left so my friend and I just hung out with him. So here came a flock of pigeons - farmer told us to get guns and help with pest control. They came back and we got a few, then a few more n...

re: 30-30 ammo question? - mallardhank
You're dealing with a cartridge that is over a century old and still has to function in guns that are over a century old without blowing them up. Yeah I know it still kills deer, but why spend money on a gun that will always be hampered or handicapped by old tech ammo. Think 7-08....

re: I think I hate Auburn more than I hate Alabama - mallardhank
Only an Alabama fan would have tea bagged another teams drunk and passed out fan, with supposedly grown men and women Bama fans standing there looking on and not intervening. That and Harvey updyke say anything anyone ever needs to hear about gumps. They are number one on the list and it isn't clo...

re: Any good advice for beginner bowhunting and shooting? - mallardhank
Listen to the folks telling you to stay away from the big box stores. The smaller specialty stores will provide better advice, but you also need to have narrowed your field of manufacturers, especially with a bow. I have never heard of anyone complain of a bow made by Mathews. Spend once cry on...
