I came to this after years of watching Miles blunder about on the sidelines costing this program games. I am of the mindset that a coach should put his players in position to succeed. I do not feel Miles does this. I feel most of the success that LSU has had is solely based on the talent level that Louisiana affords. In my eyes Miles was essentially handed a Ferrari and he has driven it like a John Deere tractor.

except for all those wins....but who counts those

by the way.....every coach in any sport that has ever won anything significant has had talent and alot of it. everyone. And no team wins on talent alone....thats just stupid

You have to really have some serious miles butt hurt to trash the number one player that just committed to "your" school.

I trashed him by saying I don't think he is as good as Jeremy Hill, a current LSU player who just won us that bowl game, and who I think is as talented as any back I've ever seen? That's trashing?

I trashed him by saying running backs are easy to find, and aren't high up on the list of valuable positions? That's not trashing, that's a fact.

I trashed him because I didn't think he looked great in that all star game? He looked great in his high school highlights, but many running backs look great in highlights, that's the point of highlights, and against high school kids. How can any of you objectively say you know how good he will be?

I don't really even want to debate you. It would be pointless. Just wanted to let you know you are an idiot. Have a great day.

You guys harp on wins, but how a teams wins should matter. Many were sloppy, ugly, and more time than not the result of talent alone. The question was asked why there are so many "negatigers" and the simple answer is the way Miles coaches this team does not inspire confidence.

Sure took it to LSU this year. He's good enough to beat Miles with far less talent. There are guys I would much prefer, but most of those are locked up.

you idiots like to use this line but no win is the result of talent alone. if you'd think before you type you'd realize this.

Their play of late doesn't show that.

The thing is, I don't really care if people like you think I'm an idiot. The people calling me an idiot have been doing a nice spin job on everything I said, which is what you guys do.

I never trashed LF. I never said wins were like loses. I said they played like garbage in many of their wins, which isn't something that should be praised. I said the way they played in those wins pointed to why they lost games against teams they should never lose to.

Again, are you guys too stupid to understand playing poorly and winning close games against mediocre teams is what leads to losing games we shouldn't lose? Or is that too much for you guys to comprehend?

Just want to quote this to point out that all the idiots who were spinning everything I said couldn't respond to this, because it proved they were all full of shite in their responses to me.

Anyone that uses the "talent alone" argument deserves to be mocked because they obviously know nothing about team sports and I'm positive have never played.

You can think that, but you'd be wrong. Football isn't terribly difficult to understand. I suppose that was great coaching on display when Bama completely embarassed LSU in the NC Game?

And irrational posters who are overly critical of the football program. And if you want les fired who would you have us coaching this team. If you expect national titles every year perhaps we need to go in a new conference.

There are some kooks that want Les fired, but they are in the minority, just like the kooks that think Les Miles is so amazing and nothing is his fault, even going so far as to blaming any mistakes on the fans.

In the end, Les Miles has provided plenty of reasons for LSU fans to be critical of him to a degree. His coaching in the last BCS championship game being one of the worst seen by many of us in decades with a team that talented.

His recruiting has been sub-par and despite the rich talent in Louisiana he's lost numerous LA recruits that are studs, but worst of all, it has been directly to rivals and divisional/conference opponents.

Just ignoring the inept offense LSU had for the prior to this year from 2009-2012, Les lost 9 of the top 6 players in the state in 2012 and as of now in 2014 recruiting classes.

That said, identifying issues with a coach, staff member, or player isn't irrational. Irrational is thinking things are hunky dory and ignoring signs that your team's leadership has major flaws. Irrational is calling for Les to be fired.

Reality is somewhere in between.

I'm intrigued with Miles and the UF season turnaround thing.
What is it that you witnessed to lead you to that conviction. And not some dumbfrick announcer's spin.

I think you make excellent points that plenty refuse to see.

I do disagree on Fournette. I think he will be the best player in LSU history.
