Anyone who bases a recruits ability off a controlled scrimmage "all star game" doesn't have a clue

The telling sign with Les is that whenever a big coaching vacancy becomes available, his name is never mentioned

This. Talked about it early this week. If miles is the next best thing since sliced bread why is his name never mentioned for a coaching position in NCAA or NFL?

They're sick of going to meaningless bowls with a coach who's paid over four million per year.

I'm what you would consider to be a "positiger", I don't think Les is the greatest coach ever by any means. But at the same time I can't say he should be fired after 10 or 11 win seasons with 2 Nat Champ game appearances mixed in. Yea he have a ton of talent, but so does Saban and every other great coach who wins. I challenge you to name a coach who won at a consistent rate along with a Championship or 2 who didn't have great talent

It means in those two years, LSU lost 9 players that were ranked in the top 6 for those two given years. They lost 4/6 one season and 5/6 the other.

LSU has had sub par recruiting. Given the team success and fertile ground, LSU's 2012 class was a bust
Based on needs and this one is looking potentially to be as bad in missing out on elite local talent. Worst part is the players going to rivals.

It could easily turn around before signing day though if Les and the staff can get a couple of these guys to flip to
LSU.

It is you moron. You must be extremely dumb, ignorant, or have a short term memory of one month.

The fact that he turned down his alma mater, makes it almost impossible for teams to have a shot a him. Doesn't mean they haven't tried. Every year some team has him in consideration. Including several NFL teams. Jerry Jones has tried almost every year since 2007.

Again, are you guys too stupid to understand playing poorly and winning close games against mediocre teams is what leads to losing games we shouldn't lose? Or is that too much for you guys to comprehend?

It's honestly too much for some to comprehend. The "a win is a win" crowd does not get it, nor will they ever. This will surely label me a "negatiger" but it comes from morons using that term because it's a short cut to thinking. There is middle ground. You don't have to be "nega" or a "sunshine pumper". You can be realistic.

I'm not saying fire Miles, but I do find it funny how much gloom the "posi" crowd has about finding a good coach. So weird, because when Saban left people were saying the same thing! To not question many of Miles' bad decisions doesn't make you a "great" fan, it makes you blind sheep.

ETA: Just to get it out of the way: "Remember the 90's!" "He wins 10 games a year!"

I don't give a shite about people questioning his calls....I question his calls. It's the idiots that give him zero credit that piss me off

Sabans recruits
'07 championship was a fluke
He only wins because of talent
All of his wins are ugly
The '11 SEC championship doesn't count
All those clock blunders (which is actually bullshite)
We'll never beat bama again
We'll never beat Florida again
We'll never win another SEC championship
etc. etc. etc.

And the idiots that only come to this board only after a loss to bash everyone and don't post shite after a win. Those are the idiots that I can do without. And it's the same ones every year.

So I see that since we have degraded the chik fi le bowl by calling it the chicken bowl we've decided to degrade the bigger bowls now

The only thing that's embarassingly stupid is your reliance on words like idiot and stupid. It's clear the only organized athletics you play is little league.

Sabans recruits

There's some truth, but it's exaggerated. You'd have to do that for Saban as well.

quote:

'07 championship was a fluke

It shouldn't have to be a question, but losing to 2 unranked (EOS)teams at HOME does make that NC "flukey". Think of what had to happen for them to make it back in. That team and 2006 should have been back to back and without 4 losses. But, 2007 is ours in the record books

quote:

He only wins because of talent
LSU has had amazing talent. See the NFL rosters. Do you really think nobody else could do what Miles does? Anyway, he's the coach and that talent doesn't mean anything unless coached properly. Miles was utterly and completely out coached on 1/9 though. Talent wise, both of those teams were pretty equal.
quote:

All of his wins are ugly

No. But a good amount of his wins are. This really shouldn't be hard for you to admit. LSU plays down to their competition in a lot of games.

quote:

The '11 SEC championship doesn't count

Bull-fricking-shite. What doesn't count to me and never will is the Mulligan Bowl. You don't get voted by biased POS coaches and voters to the SECCG.
quote:

All those clock blunders (which is actually bullshite)

Really? Miles hasn't had clock mismanagement issues? Let me guess, the Ole Miss one wasn't on him in your opinion?

quote:

We'll never beat bama again

LSU should have won in 2012. That loss in a big way falls on Miles' shoulders. I don't want to get into it, but there were at least 5 different things he blundered. Blaming the D, because with under a minute they finally screwed up means you didn't watch the other 59 minutes. Anyway, LSU will beat Bama this coming season.
quote:

We'll never beat Florida again

I think you need to calm down on the gross exaggerations. 1 person says this and you make it for all "negatigers"?
quote:

We'll never win another SEC championship
I think LSU will win another SECC in 2 years if things go the way they should. The real question is can they win another NC under Miles?
