Did they save their ace or is it going to be pitcher by committee. Who ever it is LSU needs to jump on them early and often, finish it before they get to thinking they have a shot.

their ace dallas K (lefty) threw mult innings last night and around 60 or so pitches so its safe to say he wont pitch vs us. That was his 2nd app in the cws

the other lefty that started is also not going on a days rest so we will most likely see eibner or TJ forrest

either way we should be able to score runs

defiantly a huge advantage to be able to come from the winners bracket and have your whole staff ready.

Also as long as we dont get blown out of the first game it brings our chances of taking the 2nd up if they could some how pull off the first win.

They pretty much have to pitch eibner first and then use the best they can from the bullpen. leaving midweek and worn down guys left

Keuchal may or may not start (probably not), but he will more than likely pitch on Friday. For Arkansas, the question will be when and will it be enough? If the game is reasonably close, I would expect to see him in the later innings.

quote:

Keuchel allowed four runs in six innings in the opener against Cal State Fullerton. Even on short rest, the left-hander wanted to in the game and didn’t disappoint. He struck out five and allowed three hits in his four shutout innings. He also saved some pitching in the process. Keuchel shook his head “yes” when Van Horn was asked about available pitchers for Friday’s game against LSU.

The only way we see Kuechel is if it's close late in the game. He has thrown alot of pitches over the course of the week and Van Horn has to have pitching for Saturday as well if they win. If, God forbid, it goes to Saturday, we will see Kuechel again.

still kinda would have rathered face UVA, Keuchel proved again he is a monster and they rocked AR already this year. Kuechel shouldn't have much left though

+1

heck..uva shoulda scored at least 1 run per inning that Dalls K was in. They couldn't bunt, couldn't baserun, couldn't get a simple sac fly.

I did at first but I really think ben tsrandomletters being hurt at short stop makes it easier playing arky.

plus their staff is worn down and if UVA didn't have 2 retards on the bases that game would have been over.

Keuchel is a monster though but how much does he have in the tank after throwing 80 something and 66 pitches and only a day rest. plus we have seen him once this year

Arky didn't win the game, UVA lost it. That was a hell of a choke job. They were down to one strike. UVA had runners in scoring position with one and no outs. UVA flat out didn't execute and shot themselves in the foot time after time.
