Should be judged just on what they did at LSU.

1. Casanova-3 x all american. no question
2. Cannon-only heisman winner has to be on it.
3. Faulk-much of today's success still goes back to him making it cool to come to LSU again.
4. Hodson- 4x all sec, best qb we ever had.

You mean that tPOS Cannon?

I agree. Billy Cannon is a convicted felon but no one here cares because he's old white and our only Heisman winner.

is this the thread where people list players that they never actually saw play?

Shouldn't be any debate about these two guys. LSU's only Heisman winner and LSU's only three time All-American.

The other two heads could be filled by any number of players.

Canon or Y.A (one or other not both)
Faulk
Hodson
Mawae/Fanaca (cut their face in half - the big uglies need representation)

Probably this. Fournette takes the spot of Bert Jones (unless it was Dorsey's slot). I could be talked into keeping Bert Jones over Faulk just due to the glut of running backs.

Tyrann Mathieu was the best player on defense as a freshman and Peterson was on that team. If a defensive player is on it, it's Casanova. I still think it should be all rbs. We have 8 players in the College Football Hall of Fame and I think Casanova is the only non rb of the bunch.

Too many GREAT players. I can't figure out how to split hairs. I grew up with Tommy Casanova and Bert Jones. Hard not to say Y.A.Tittle and Billy Cannon, but I haven't even seen much film of them. Charles Alexander fits where? Kevin Faulk, Josh Reed, Jeremy Hill. Jacob Hester was MONEY, but hard to put him up there. Rohan Daves, Laron Landry, Matt Flynn, and I know almost nothing about various stud OL guys.
nope not gonna try

Great topic, and with all the other Fournette talk, you would think retiring the #7 would be a big one if his career continues in this direction.

I agree with Faulk and it appears Fournette.

I know eggs will be flying my way for this one, but long after they retire, do you think either Miles or Saban gets up there?
