Shouldn't we go ahead and add the 1908 championship? Its recognized by the ncaa but not our own school.

Seems kind of Texas A&My to me. Don’t mind if we just keep that one on the shelf. Plus the ncaa doesn’t award championships in FBS football and never has.

I think if we did it any other year, we would come across as douchey try hards. But since we're already going to be redoing the scoreboard and banners, its time.

Meh. Leather helmet history. I'd say leave it be. Let the programs who haven't won in forever claim those types of things. But it looks like I'm in the minority...

Most sources have had us as the 8-12 ranked program. 5 national championships and now 2 Heisman trophies goes a long way towards our overall program ranking. Would put us firmly at the top of that tier-ahead of the penn states, Georgias, and Tennessees of the world.

I really don't care either way, but if you're going to claim it and give it a place on a banner, then you need to do the honorable thing and make one game this next season all about honoring that team and its accomplishment. It's not a big deal, but if you're going to do it, sell it hard.
