When was the last time an LSU team exceeded expectations?

Not in the last 15 years. LSU fans expect a championship every year and anything less means the HC needs to be fired.

We are supposed to win the NC in every sport every year. We always have the best players and when we don't win it's because our coaches are idiots.

sadly although we expect championships in major sports I think lsu fans have been spoiled to think that championships grow on trees but in reality they are very hard to come by. I think LSU is top 5 in all of the nation when it comes to sports and we should be proud of that. My .02

We should have beaten Alabama when we were expected to get blown out.
We beat West Virginia on the road when we were expected to lose.
We almost beat Kentucky when we were expected to get blown out.
Baseball: We were expected to win every game, so you can't exceed expectations here by winning.

2015 Men's Golf
2008 baseball
2009 Men's Basketball: This team was fantastic and got screwed in seeding.
But the real winner is 2005 LSU football. The southern part of the state was destroyed by a hurricane, we only lost two games, one of which was a shitshow in 100 degrees vs Tennessee that we were winning 21-0, Miles's first year, Jamarcus improved so much, and we beat Miami 40-3.
