2003 was the last time. Every year after that a championship would not have been surprising to me, except maybe 2006, cause it was Miles' first year and it's amazing we won all the games we did.

A lot of people didn't think this years baseball team had the starting pitching to make it to Omaha or win the SEC. Now the media liked this team in the preseason. I remember a lot of people thought we were ranked to high.

this years baseball team. after Nola and other key arms left we had some major unanswered questions at SP. also, we had some infield issues.
sadly, both of these questions remained at years end.
this team still gutted it out and made it to Omaha.

CJJ's first basketball season beat expectations.
Football has been a while because expectations were so high.
Softball definitely exceeded this year and golf as well.
Gym didn't exceed but met expectations.

Pumpers have done such a great job hammering down the expectations with their "nothing to see here" explanations, that I really don't remember there being lofty expectations, recently.

2010 football. If I remember correctly we went into that season either unranked or ranked in the 20s then played our way to an 8-0 record and top 10 before losing to cam newton in auburn. Nobody gave us a shot against Bama the next game and we beat them in an epic game

In 2011 LSU went 13-0 and beat teams that were ranked 3,25,16,17,19,2,3,and 12 at the time they played them. They beat 5 teams that won at least 10 games that year. They beat 3 or 4 teams that eventually won BCS games. They were one win away from being considered the greatest team in the history of college football.

Was going to highlight 2010 as well. Played in the Cotton Bowl and fans were excited as shite to be playing the new Jerry World.

The 2014 team exceeded expectations of you set your expectation after the Auburn game. Don't think many thought we had another win on the schedule outside of Kentucky at that point.
