You can't blame a guy for being hopeful can you?!

Seriously speaking. With the night game Tiger Stadium atmosphere, and 2 weeks to prepare while Bama faces a hard-nosed Miss State team, I'd still say Bama is a 60-40 favorite for the game....BUT, that 40% chance is every bit real and possible.

What will the Saban worshipers of the world do when they realize that the Hat has beaten Lil Nicky 4 out of 7 times, and 3 of the last 4 meetups ! (damn that 1/9 game, or it would be 4 straight!)...

Mett versus McCarron...gotta consider that advantage for Bama, or I'd flip the odds to 60-40 if we had an even match at the passing spot.

I really feel like we will win. Even when LSU has had its worst teams under Les, the games were close. 1/9 was an anomaly. We are so close on offense. Two consecutive 200+ yards rushing in the last two games. Even with 9 in the box. A&M had 9 guys within 5 yards from the LOS. Saban won't have their guys that close to the LOS, he will send an extra DB on a blitz. Our hope has to be that we will hit the gap where ever that DB vacates. Our biggest issue last year against Bama is that we didn't run the ball outside unless it was with an option.

2008 - LSU rushed for over 200 yards with a poor passing game.

Most people on the Radio don't give us much of chance...they say AJ and Bama OL the difference... even in Tiger Stadium.

Bama is being positioned as "unbeatable"

hope springs eternal. but i alas have become a negatiger for the bama game. We are too banged up and our lack of a passing game will be the difference again. Wish it were not so but that the way it looks to me. Damn Bama and Fla in the SEC champs game and then winner to the NCG, i know it sucks but that's the way i see it. Guess maybe some positigers out there can spread a little sunshine

You need a QB that can throw for more then 98 yards and speed that we do not have on offense.

bama in a cakewalk.

Jordan Jefferson was QB when LSU beat Bama. Mett will be fine.

They will say Saban coached a flawless game that his team didn't execute, and LSU won despite Miles doing everything he could to lose it for us.

This was easy.

Bama hasn't been challenged at all.
Michigan #9, W. Kentucky #26, Arkansas #93, Florida Atlantic #93, Ole Miss #34, Missouri #44, and Tennessee #107 are not close to LSU's as far as defense. Even though Michigan and W. Kentucky have good stats, they aren't playing offensive juggernauts within their conference. Playing LSU's defense will be night and day more challenging.

At least our offense has faced some really good defenses in Florida #7 & South Carolina #8. Not as if they are as good as Bama's defense but we have been tested.

We will have to win with our defense and special teams. And our special teams hasn't been very good over the last few weeks. I expect that Les will have more veterans playing on the punt and kickoff teams for next week. Wing hasn't been health, so the bye week has come at a good time.

With 10 starters missing and playing 17 true freshmen, if Miles beats Saban Bama should fire him. After all, some ranters want Miles fired for far less crimes.

Statements like these are just retarded and aren't warranted. Not being a PosiTiger, I'm just being honest. If you think we lose in a "cakewalk" I question your football knowledge.

Besides 1/9/12, WHEN is the last time LSU lost a game in a "cakewalk?" seriously.

The last 2 "cakewalk" losses were 4 YEARS AGO, the worst LSU team (record wise) under Les Miles.

How they beat LSU on 1/9 was staying in their rush lanes and containing JJ who couldn't throw downfield. If they can protect Mett, LSU is going to throw the ball downfield. If Mett can hit one or 2 downfield, it will open up for Jeremy Hill to gash a few runs. 12-10 LSU.

Careful there dude, you did too good of imitating a negatiger . You sure you haven't been infected with some of their blood products? Next full moon you might be howling alongside Maximus and White tiger!

This is the best case scenario. Place all the pressure on Bama to come through. I want them to have 100% of the first place votes, and I want McCarron to be on the very short list for Heisman....and for Saban to be at the height of his Godness....so that when we make that 40% chance to 100% reality, and the Hat is 4-3 head-to-head, even the most homer Bama-Sabanites will have to eat humble pie !

What I believe will happen is our defense will rise up and play a monster game for the ages against Bama. 3+ sacks. Party behind the line of scrimmage. 3+ turnovers.

Our offense will hit a few down field passes, which will open up the running gama. The running game and passing game will produce 240 yards each. LSU wins 23-13.

I am calling LSU by a TD or better and even at that LSU will not play in the BCS CG unless Oregon looses a game. LSU has to win by at least 7-10 points in order to play in the NC Game after defeating an undefeated Florida Team. With Both Oregon and ND undefeated the concensus is that LSU had an extra Week to get ready for Bama and Florida had their Bad Game at the last so that will take LSU out of the NC Game unless 1 of the 2 I mentioned above looses.

There are to many undefeated Teams this year for a once beaten SEC Team to make the CG ahead of Oregon and ND. There is too big of a ground swell to make sure a Once beaten SEC Team does not get in ahead of an undefeated team from one of the other Conferences and especially with an undefeated ND. LSU does not have the support because of the lack of an Offense.
