I am assuming most people are going to go ahead and write off next year since we will have a green QB and once again more likely unwarranted junior NFL defections.

2015 is a year I feel we should be setup very well to make a run. The top notch 2014 recruiting class will all have a year under their belts and we'll be pretty experienced in almost all positions.

Granted although 2014 doesnt seem to look that great, with some luck (See Auburn this year), it doesnt take a great team to get to the NCG.

Every year.

Odds on getting fricked by another bridge schedule in 2015? 1-5!

imo, when 100% of the jrs worth a damn on the team leave early every year we may never win another one. the team needs senior leadership and the team needs most of the junior stars to return. we compete in the SEC west and no other team loses ALL of their juniors but LSU. it is a disadvantage that can't be overcome. until other teams in the west start losing all of theirs we will continue to lose key games every year due to lack of seniors.

Grandad, I agree with you 100% on this. Not to hijack this thread but I would like to hear others opinions about why LSU seems to lose more juniors than other schools.

WTF are you talking about?. . . We lose more juniors than most schools because our juniors are better and have higher draft projections than most schools.

Last year LSU had more early declarants who weren't drafted in the top 100 picks of the NFL draft than the entire rest of the SEC combined. It's one thing to deal with losing elite players, but other schools didn't have to replace every junior starter.

I mean there were 11 seniors that made All-SEC this year, and surely some of them will play in the NFL. I'm not sure LSU will ever have a senior make first team All-SEC again.

IF LSU lands Fornete??? Next year.... If Landry would just stay.... A virtual lock... The SEC will be down again Next year and with Bama replacing the QB.... Its there for the taking.......

Next year. Bama at home. No AJ, or Johnny Drama. Auburn will be our toughest game on the road, Florida is down for the moment, Vandy instead of Georgia...next year we have a legitimate chance of being a top 4 team and making the playoff.

Honestly, these past few years my worries about the inevitable flops that seem to happen have pretty much deflated my excitement about x year being 'our year'.

With the amount of money that goes into our football program I expect a championship every other year.

But I'm just a fool in the rain.
