Yes it did. He comes in and the first year is good and they get progressively worse under him. I bet you wanted to keep Tepper as well.

+1

Or more specifically, he is calling the plays out of a very limited selection handpicked by Miles.

Crowton served as Head Coach and ran the offense. He didn't hire an offensive coordinator.

well then it showed that he couldnt handle all the responsibilites of being a head coach and be the offensive coordinator

I bet you showed up at all the stops of the Summer Recovery Tour because you believe the stimulus package worked as well.

if you dont want to listen, that's ok.

people a lot closer to the program than both you or I are saying that Crowton and Gonzales have no more authority when it comes to the offense. it's all flowing through miles

i'm sorry if you don't want to believe it

Rouge, I listened to the BYU and Oregon fans here in Los Angeles that still curse the name Crowton. They watch us and say it is exactly how it was when he was at their schools.

While that may be true, it may also be true that Miles took it from him due to his ineffectiveness.

To think that Crowton is blameless is a stretch.

I think Crow has had the excuse of no experienced QB to this point. With an experienced QB we win the NC and score 30 points per game. With inexperienced QB we are in the bottom 15th percentile of offensive production. Well there's now no excuse but I could see Crow staying through JJ and JL's senior year because they are supposedly developing behind the curve.

never said he was blameless. i'm just saying that the see Crowton as the point man of the 2010 LSU offense is incorrect

Rouge, I can't disagree with you that the game-planning doesn't seem like it would be Crowton's. It does seem Big 10 as hell, and we know who that points to. But Crowton's ideas and effectiveness follow the same trend everywhere he goes. He's used up here. Saban will have to invest only about 10 minutes into preparation for our offense. He sees one series of downs, he's pretty much seen all he needs to see.

Give me a break. If this is true, then this dude has no back bone to move on.

It is Gary Crowton. The same shite took place at BYU and Oregon.

This is a fact!!! Do a search and try to find a paper I read from a BYU student about Crowton and his steady decline as a offensive coach and in developing a QB.

Whats very noticeable, is this is not the same offense we ran 2 years ago. There were no read option plays with JLee or Flynn or Perrilloux. We didn't have to run the ball with our runningbacks from Shotgun with the read option. Its like Miles watches tape from the previous year, finds an offense he likes, and tries to emulate it, terribly of course.

Les Miles does not have the confidence nor the capacity to run the offense himself. Disagree TOTALLY that these playcalls are all Miles. This has Crowton's fingerprints all over it.

How can anyone defend crowton? This is the man who took one of the best offenses in lsu history and turned it into one of the worst offenses in lsu history. I don't know how, but he's managed to make the 2010 offense even worse.... The offense has gotten progressivley worse and worse under his watch
