Honestly, how much more of this bullshite offensive scheme will we have to watch before he is let go. Will Miles wait until the end of the season to let him go thus extending his options as head coach? Or does he make a change mid season in hopes of turning this offense around? Personally, I believe the spread will never work in Tiger Stadium and quite frankly if we rid ourselves of Gary Crowton I never want to see it again.

CORRECTION: Spead will never work here unless you have a QB that can utilize/run it.

I think the reason he didn't get fired last year (a la Mallory & Peveto) is b/c Miles has his hands in the offense. He can't entirely blame Gary b/c he hasn't given him full reigns.

I'm not suggesting the results would be different, though.

I'm starting to think the battle line looks like this. GC and JL v LM and JJ.

I don't know why but I just got that feeling Saturday night in TS.

It is Gary Crowton. The same shite took place at BYU and Oregon.

THIS.......NEVER took place in those spots

Miles makes the game plan and gives Crowton a limited number of plays to call from

it's essentially the "coaching" version of paint by number

Rouge ....Is this your gut feeling or do you have evidence to support your assertion?

I'm afraid you might be right. Would not be surprised if Miles has told Crowton that JJ is his QB and he should limit the playbook to things JJ can manage.

Maybe Les wanted to get rid of Crowton after last season but his bosses wouldn't let him...It's not like Les Miles aka "The Jacket" has Saban type clout.

A new OC wouldn't make much difference if Les Miles interferes with his decisions.

Yes it did. He comes in and the first year is good and they get progressively worse under him. I bet you wanted to keep Tepper as well.

Crowton should have been fired last year. So far, the offense is exactly as I predicted. Thank God for Chavis and the defense as well as the special teams.
