re: What is you're # 1 concern heading into this season?

quote:I've never predicted 'program failure' of the team. You lying about my statements on here however, is a trend. My predictions have ranged from 10 wins to 11 wins year over year for the program. I have predicted, and been correct, that the offense fails year over year (ranked in the bottom half of the NCAA is failure) even with some of the best athletes that can be recruited in the nation.
the only trend is you predicting program failure year after year
quote:I've said the same thing, and we are saying the same thing just in different ways- you with a hopeful gleam in your eye for all things Les Miles, and me, with a hint of skepticism and doubt about the same subject.
Hopefully Cam has cleaned up some of the deficiencies they showed last year and this year will be more productive.

I just hope Russell Shepard finally gets to throw a pass.

#1 concern = schedule
It is brutal. Will be able to keep up the intensity every week?

Want to beat Alabama, thrice if necessary

...we can all be agreed ... Cat 5 Hurricanes in Sept .. thats certainly my biggest concern ..

quote:If nothing much changes, you are not alone in saying this.
That's not the philosophy, or the change, I'm looking for.
quote:This would be a lot more like what I am hoping to see. I want to see LSU pile up a pretty hefty halftime lead or at least not fall behind by the half. Then in the second, come out and take care of business - either score some more or shut down the opposition's offense. Or preferably both.
How about firing downfield and executing in the FIRST HALF so you won't have to worry about "limiting the opponent's opportunities in the second half"- BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE A SUBSTANTIAL LEAD.
quote:For our beloved HC, it could very well be. Although while at OSU, he showed evidence that he grasped that concept pretty well.
What a novel concept.

Consistency is by far my biggest concern. At all levels. Every facet of the game needs to be consistent for a great season.
The offense hasn't found much consistency except for the run game which makes them one dimensional. The wide outs seem to be improved with catching the ball and route running, but I want to see them constantly catching the ball. The O-Line is young, but injuries really kill consistency on the line. As far as the defense is concerned, I'm not too worried even with the exodus. The Chief hasn't ever let me down, but sometimes the defense plays down a level. Not often - i.e. Ole Miss.
If the O can find consistency, then the D can shine even more taking pressure off both sides giving us the best opportunity I every game.

I can only have one concern huh? If that the case, play of Mr. Zach Mettingberger and/or his backup.

My no.1 concern is and has always been "the option".......will Les employ his or allow Cam to run this offense?

Pass defense and offensive rhythm.

Agreed. Alleman didn't do as well as I had hoped last year. We will need to kick fg's to win a few games.

QB play. It all comes down to QB play.
