What does Booger McFarland know about our defense that we don’t know?

He told Jordy and T-Bob that this defense will be fixed here shortly. He said he couldn’t go into it but he talked to somebody inside the program and he said he will leave it at that. I wonder what Dave Aranda has up his sleeve?

Sounds like there will be a shake up in the starting lineup

Devin White was a huge loss. I have full confidence Aranda will make improvements.

I think they’ll move someone else to free safety.

Who knows? But, IMO, they need to move Divinity back to OLB. He's a significant upgrade over Thornton/Anthony at that spot and provides more value as a pass rusher than he does at ILB. Queen and Clark have proven to be solid at that spot.

Booger is going to suit up under a fake name.

Grant to roamer, move Chaisson around ala Clowney, man coverage and blitz every play.

Havoc defense.

A former player with a high profile position at ESPN. I am willing to bet he knows a lot about our defense that we don’t know lol.

The defense will get better. It seems Aranda thought this team was going to be able to do one thing coming into the season and he was wrong so he is working to figure out what this team can do. It’s only 3 games into the season and things will turn around. May never be a great defense probably but can become a really good one. Luckily for once LSU just needs a good defense to have a great season.

Maybe aranda has been trying things out to see what could work cause he knows the base defense we played week 1 isn’t going to get it done down the line with the offenses we still have to face...

It’s pretty obvious Aranda is trying to teach zone concepts to a bunch of man coverage cbs and green young guys in back end.

Moving delpit to Free Safety and Stevens to Strong Safety sounds like a pretty good idea honestly. Then move Divinity or a young guy into the hybrid position Stevens has been playing. Allows Delpit to just play centerfield since he’s had trouble wrapping up at the line so far and having Stevens in his spot still allows him to come downhill and make tackles at the line of scrimmage like he’s been doing
