He has a three game stretch of film to analyze. It’s not far fetched that the guy can identify weaknesses at this point, & change around personnel & game plans accordingly. Ignore the general masses of tRant - Aranda is a genius & will have this defense addressed.

Like Booger. Really do. But he talks out his butt sometimes too. Have to serve a an ounce of sodium with his dishes.

That said, I do trust we’ll see improvements. We have the talent. We have the coaches. We have the analysts. We got O.

It seems Aranda thought this team was going to be able to do one thing coming into the season and he was wrong so he is working to figure out what this team can do.

Then move Divinity or a young guy into the hybrid position Stevens has been playing.

Marcel Brooks. We are ready.

Fingers crossed

Probably thinks the same thing I said. The talent is there, in every damn position and even behind them in most spots. The issue isn't effort, and it isn't ability, so all that has to be done is to iron out the wrinkles which aranda get paid good money to do. He has a new group. It's not going to be championship caliber day 1.

But it will be.

I don't think there is any big mystery. Suspensions plus nicks are more responsible for what we are seeing than scheme or personnel.

Yeah but many morons on here think Aranda should be fired. I really get a laugh when they use last years A&M game points total as one of the reasons.

Play man instead of zone as much as possible. Get Delpit to wrap up. That alone fixes a lot.

maybe Booger could take a few years off broadcasting and be our dl coach. He's probably already got enough money for a lifetime.

If Divinity can avoid suspension, I totally agree!

Injuries and suspensions have definitely made a difference. However, we were a few key 3rd down stops away from blowing out Texas. Almost every one of their TDs was on 3rd and long or 4th down. Getting off the field on 3rd down is our main issue. Correct that, and people have a different outlook on the defense.

The title is a joke, right?

Indeed how could Booger possibly know more about any aspect of football than all the truck baws around here know?

The really funny part is that some of you Rantards actually think you know more than he does.

Booger knows that Aranda is going to get Joe Burrow to play both ways.... #9 to be an edge rusher.

Going to stop rushing 4 every play.

My guess is that Delpit moves to the back end with Harris out and that Marcel Brooks gets on the field more in Delpit's current roamer spot. I hate losing the chaos element from Delpit near the LOS, but it might actually improve his draft stock (which is already really high) if NFL coaches see him in a more traditional safety role for the next level. Just my two cents.

I would guess going back to man coverage and expanding blitz packages

I'm more concerned about the injuries on the dline more than anything
If we're missing these players come Florida and the start of that stretch it's going to be difficult.

It’s pretty obvious Aranda is trying to teach zone concepts to a bunch of man coverage cbs and green young guys in back end.

This.

They will need to understand these zone concepts too because Florida, Alabama and aTm run a lot of crossing/rub/cluster routes where switching is required when you man up and playing zone against these offenses can be more effective.
