The non existent offense with no identity that is responsible for our win/loss record.

It is only because of talent we got to 9 wins.what bothers me is crowton. he is trash and needs to go.

absolutely, but not the coaches fault, they were in position, just didn't make the play
go back and watch the replay and tell me that most of those supposedly dropped balls were catchable? and i saw an accurate pass, thrown way too hard in those game conditions. that simply means, the kid has no touch; is he in a severe hurry or what? is it too arduous for him?

I truly dislike putting this in such a manner, but it is my understanding that he is Mormon and this is Catholic, Baptist country; and maybe he is a bit prejudice and doesn't have the want and his leader hasn't the balls to tell him where to go?

The inability to put teams away and constant losing to our biggest rivals. Losing to ole miss bama and florida back to back years wants to make me puke.

It isn't the numbers (W:L).
For the team, it is everything leading up to it. The list is so long it would keep me from going to bed, and I am tired. I'll simplify it down to one thing: coaching.
Let me give a short example. I saw a girls school soccer team with a faculty coach achieve an 0-10-1 record one year. The next year with a different volunteer coach that same team (with a little bit better talent) had a record of 8-1-2, losing only to the league champion. The following year the team had even better talent, and upgraded to a professional coach (with National team qualifications) to finish with a 4-4-3 record. Over three years that team didn't change dramatically talent-wise. Nor did their competition. What changed was the coach. In that middle year, one coach either got incredibly lucky or knew how to forge a team, teach technique, and get the players to play as coached.
Admittedly this is a small sample, but highly illustrative. What it says is that coaching is more important to the outcome than any other single factor, even talent. Les has plenty of talent, but compared to some of his peers (I use the term loosely), he doesn't know what to do with it. His judgment picking coordinators is horrible. And he doesn't appear to know how to forge his coordinators and coaches into a team within a team.
The record is just an indicator of the quality of coaching.

Tolliver's play in the bowl game was pathetic.

Offense definetly. All that talant and no production. That truely chapped my arse all season long. It just seemed like at some point the offense woulkd explode. But I just kept finding myself waiting and waiting and hoping. Now the season is over and guess what? Not a fricking thing happened. Its not the players fault because every time the coaches cut them loose we all saw what they could do.

This, and the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yes he had alot of missed oportunities. But, can you imagine what it was like trying to concentrate on catching the ball while running full speed and wondering if your ankel or knee was about to be snapped because of the freakin massive chunks of ripped up turf and holes in the field? I know the other team played on the same field but the players had to be trying to protect themselves in the back of thier heads.

I'm just saying, but didn't it look like JJ was trying to break the sound barrier when he threw the ball. Like he was trying to get the ball off in a hurry and just rifle the ball into the receivers hands. Kind of reminded me of when Booty used to hum the ball and it would just bounce off of our receivers.

Like others here, the play and lack of discipline is what bothered me. Had LSU shown some sort of strategy and playcalling/personnel adjustment according to situations in the game and the opponent, I would have been satisfied with this season.
But with the way they've played all season long, it sure made 9-4 have the feel of 4-8.
This season was like watching a M. Night Shyamalan film. You kept waiting for a climax in each game, only for it to end up being the same damn thing but with a confusingly different (sometimes worse) twist. I have left games this season feeling the same way I felt after walking out the theater after seeing "The Village".

What coaches are responsbile for teaching catching? On offense we need to get a new WR coach and RB coach ... Oh, wait.
Who coaches the DB's?

Position coaches.
Are you saying that none of the coaches know how to teach fundamentals? Catching the football is about as fundamental as it gets, and LSU is terrible at it.
The jury is still out on our new coaches. We'll see if there's any improvement next season.

1. The offense. The playcalling, the lack of using talent, benching the playmaker. I just don't get what we do on offense. Why call a screen pass to the middle of the field with 40 seconds left?? Why call a pass play in FG range besides running up the middle to set up for the FG?? We didn't mix anything up, is Holliday in the game? Well he's going to get the ball and run to the outside. Option to the short side of the field, this was called every game and it didn't work once.
2. Defense getting tired. Some of this has to do with the offense not knowing how to get a first down, but the defense has given up 2 potential game winning drives against Penn St and Arkansas. LSU used to have a defense that would kill any game winning drives, we need that defense back. This bend but don't break scheme doesn't work if you have a shitty offense, the D is tired by the 4th Q.
3. Not putting a complete game together. Under Miles, LSU rarely puts together a complete game. Auburn may be the exception to this. But for the most part, LSU either comes out flat in the first half, and plays lights out in the second or vice versa. LSU does not play hard for all 4 quarters.

We all know the SEC is tough enough and we cant win them all its the way we have lost thats the problem. If we lack discipline and have no identity then theres some kind of miscommunication between coaches and players and it falls on the coaches cause thats what they get paid millions of dollars for.
swap execution with Identity and Im 100% with you..
