the lack discipline

How many drives were killed because of false starts, illegal procedure etc.? This a lack of discipline...a coaching problem.
How many drives were killed by dropped passes? This a lack of execution...player problem.

How many drives were killed by some dumb play calling or the meerkat? almost everytime we punted...coaching

How many drives were killed due to sacks, because the QB didn't know when throw or run?...coaching

The blocking schemes were confusing to the OL....coaching

Lack of discipline is coaching
Lack of execution is players
The lack of discipline far outweighed the lack of execution this year.

What bothers me most is the lack of leadership from the HC. When things are not going right, its up to the HC to step in and give direction to right the ship. Miles seems incapable of this.

lack (of) discipline
I think it translates into missed tackles, blown plays, dropped passes, bonehead penalties, 3 and out series, weak line play on D and O, time management issues, and in general, the debacle that was our LSU offense for 2009. This rests on the entire coaching staff, but ultimately on the HC.
