I would hate to ruin the iconic visual that is the exterior of the north end zone. Not to mention the lack of room and the fact that that whole area just got a great facelift. The SEZ exterior has always been an eye-sore, so this was a huge upgrade. I just don't care for the idea of doing the same to the north, at least not in the next 20-25 years.

Well the most important reason to why it won't be done is .......

It would never be ready in time

1. Did you honestly think that would be funny?

2. This expansion was done in time. So hopefully this joke dies forever.

That thought crossed your mind? I wonder if it is just you?

So NEZ is probably not an option but could they not have added 50 more seats so we'd be the biggest in the SEC and larger than Tennessee?

I think it would be better to upgrade the current stadium rather than add more, including added bathrooms, concession stands, TV's, etc

Only if the Pete mac and tiger habitat is torn down. Not enough room to put up an exact match on the north end zone. Moreover, the road will have to be closed.

What if they built the addition over the road so that you could "drive through" tiger stadium?

The most they could possibly do is add maybe two more segments to the east and west uppers. They currently curve towards the south. They could add on to them so that they curve towards the north end zone as well

But we won't ever see a full blown north end zone expansion

Watched game on tv sat night. New addition looked awesome. Just thinking about how awesome the other endzone would look if they added on. Is it even a remote possibility one day.

i think it is absolutely a possibility...when it makes financial sense, it will happen...

I personally hope it doesn't happen though, as there is not much that I enjoy more than sitting in an upper deck on a crisp saturday night in the fall and watching the tigers play while also enjoying the view of the bridge and river....

It absolutely is structurally and logistically possible. Practical, no.

This. That view is a part of the whole experience.

Why is this such a big deal to people? We're already the Loudest stadium in college football (even before the renovation). Why do we have to make it a pissing contest with numbers?

I almost wish I would have caught this post before the edit.

Screw making it match the other side. Put a new video board that fills in the whole gap. People's Health would love it

The fantastic look of the sez does make the nez look extremely dated. It's not about filling in the bowl with the same thing as the other side. It's about renovating that side in some way that'll equal the badassness of the other, whatever that may be

I've thought an awning of some sort over the NEZ would be cool, trap the student section noise.

It would have to be designed to not block sight lines. But if pulled off correctly it would be cool.

Also. Awnings on the upper decks.

For those saying there is no "room," I don't think that is accurate. LSU had considered adding suites (not general admission seating) to the north endzone. Now with the south endzone addition, I don't think the need is any longer there. Let's just update/upgrade the facility we have and enjoy it. The stadium is amazing and is plenty big enough.

There actually have been talks about doing a feasibility study on adding box suites ONLY on top of the NEZ, with the support structures not impeding the roman arches but situated to where they would come up from either side and a platform structure would be above the arches and not cover them up.
These suites would be built more over the existing stands than over the edge of the NEZ.

Glass elevators could be built on either side of the NEZ to transport patrons to the suites, and maybe even overhead walkways from the PMAC...

If they added box suites (to which there would always be a market for and a waiting list), it would probably add 1,500-5,500+ more seats to the capacity.

Will not be any more expansion, stadium is big enough. They could even shrink it and make larger seating.
