The PMAC is a dump.
But it's not like we're the only college basketball team whose arena is a dump.
We just built that big nice practice facility that literally is connected to the PMAC.
We aren't building a new arena for a while. But if we did do it soon, we'd tear the PMAC down and build a new one right back in its place. What, we'd play games in the River Center for a couple of years? That would be a shite show.
Although DTBR would be fun after games.
But it's not like we're the only college basketball team whose arena is a dump.

People who say this are idiots who don't know what the place was like when it was rockin in the 80's. The seats are comfortable, there isn't a bad view in the house, and if the fans would fill it up and cheer like that did in 1980-1990 the atmosphere would be great.
If you want a video board and a suite, just watch it on your big screen TV at home.

TBH I can't tell the difference between one arena and another on TV. All you see are the court and the first two or three rows. The PMAC needs an upgrade, but I don't think people watching on TV are saying "what a dump" based on what they see on the screen.

Okie State completely redid their arena a few years ago without moving out of it. They did all the exterior stuff during the season and the inside during the offseason.

I hate seeing all the other schools student sections on the side lower bowl of the arena with the matching shirts and pom poms and shite all loud. Then you watch us and it's like dead and has that constant dim weird cheer/noise in the background when the other team inbounds the ball. We need a new arena that's smaller and more compact.

The PMAC got loud in the late 70's early 80's. It's not the arena. It's the attendees.

It seems like most schools have the benches and coaches in the television shot instead of the opposite side. This is for ad space, but it's noticeable to me.
I like the PMAC, by the way. LSU certainly doesn't need to start over and get a new arena.
