Go to YouTube and watch games from the 80s (or even the 70s) and they are way more entertaining.

I do agree in certain situations....for instance Christian Laettner was hated by basically everyone outside of Duke....which generated interest in opposing fanbases because he was the antagonist....very true.

Place used to get loud as any other in the country. I really think it has a lot to do with student section now just is not as loud or engaged on knowledgeable about basketball as they once were.

FYI I did not go to LSU just been season ticket holder for basketball my entire life. This is just something I have noticed the last couple years, LSU has more students that wanna dress in costume instead of make the PMAC the Deaf Dome again.

Crap even Brady had some years where the place would be rocking. I've been very disappointed this year because it just always feels dead and I think that it all starts with the students not being engaged in the action.

I just really wish they would get rid of the costume idiots. They are an embarrassment compared to every other Student Section in the country.

TBH I can't tell the difference between one arena and another on TV. All you see are the court and the first two or three rows. The PMAC needs an upgrade, but I don't think people watching on TV are saying "what a dump" based on what they see on the screen.

This, it looks fine to me.

Whether the fans care about who stays is related but it is a separate issue. Fan's do care about the players and a team having a certain personality like Shaq or Ben for a few years can make an impact. However, my point relates to the quality of the product itself. The NCAA needs to find a way to keep elite players with a program for at least 3 years so that the quality of the play is improved. I used to watch a half dozen games a week just because I enjoyed the games, got to know the coaches, the players and philosophies of the teams. So many games now are just unwatchable.
