No we don't. We haven't been to our own conference championship since 2007, in which we lost to vastly inferior opponents. Last season alone we could've easily gone 8-5.

Sure everybody loves Les right now because we just beat Oregon. I would've loved to have seen you post this after the Tennessee fiasco last year by the way.

Rantards will be rantards. If Miles can get through this schedule with no major time management problems and 1 loss or less, I'd be really impressed with him.

miles has NEVER coached a team to less than 2 losses

miles has 1 conference title, 1 national title

saban has an undefeated season, a 1 loss season, 3 conference titles, and 2 national titles

even if miles wins it all this year (SEC/national titles), he'll still be behind saban...esp if we have a loss

yeah if miles can win the SEC this year he'll close the gap a little, if he wins another title, he'll close it more

he looks like he's gotten serious about our D, but our O is a fricking mess

What are you basing this on? One more title?

Miles and Saban are on pretty equal footing in recruiting. Miles is putting players into the NFL at a great rate. They both are heads of elite programs. They both are winning 10+ games a year.

Your imaginary gap that you set between the coaches and your unreal expectations blind you.

How bout enjoying an elite LSU program for once?

How is all that Chip Kelly love that you were preaching to the rant all offseason going for you?

It's going fine. I still think Chip Kelly is a great coach. They just lost to the better team.

what chip kelly has done at UO is pretty remarkable

it would be like if les got Oklahoma State to a national title in his 3rd year there

not really...the one team that's done anything in that conference was shite last year.

fwiw, Finebaum said today that the only reason LSU won was because Kelly choked again

The best thing about this thread is not whether or not Miles is the best coach because that is subjective. The fact that basically the only coach that has been put forward who might be better is Saban. There is no doubt Saban is good. If Miles is keeping company at the top with Saban that is fine by me.

Les has already proven he can and will go toe to toe with Saban in head to head games. Overall, I'd say LSU is in damn fine shape.

I don't know how anyone could even try to argue over results in favor of Miles. Sabah has three conference titles, two national titles, and an undefeated season. Miles has one conference title and one national title won with the only two loss champ in the BCS era.

I like Miles and can understand preferring him over saban for character reasons, but their results are factual and not extremely close at the moment.

The problem I have with the constant Miles bashers is that when he proves yall wrong, yall change the argument and create rant myths like seniority and dog house bullshite.

For example:

He killed the Larry Coker comparisons.
He has killed the seniority myth.
He killed the program "in a downward spiral and can't turn it around" argument.

I guess I have to realize that some people will never be satisfied. I truly feel bad for those that hate miles so much that they cant enjoy the golden era of LSU football.

No coach is perfect. Many like SFP, expect perfection. That is a standard that no other coach is held to. It is illogical. You really should think about enjoying these elite times of LSU football before it is over one day.

Auburn had an undefeated season a few years back that didn't mean shite...so does this stat. A one loss season? Was that to ULM or Croom or UAB? Conference titles...see the Auburn statement. National titles? Miles has a ring...you're a short-sighted SOB. I wouldn't hire you for a 103 Divorce for fear you'd miss the issue.
