It was certainly better than not converting a 3rd down until the fourth qtr.

Not much of an argument here

But you can't dismiss not having Fournette as if it means nothing

He overthrew the fullback once, and threw it into the defensive tackle. Hit Jeter in the facemask. Dupre had the ball in his hands how many times and dropped it.

I'll give the interception to Etling, but a receiver with decent ball skills comes down with that. You are 6'4" and you fade back to let the ball hit you in the gut instead of high pointing it. Guice made a jester saying he should have had his incompletion.

Harris couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on any of his drives.

Etling isn't some savior, but damn, hitting receivers in the hands with the football is enough to give you hope. I will say, the check downs and screen did look good. Then there was the whole throwing to the tight end thing that was awesome. A lot of positives to take away from the game. The protection was lacking a bit.

I know he only had one catch, but Davis looks like the real deal. Kid is going to be a stud.

He really did. Did you see him prior to his one catch when he caught that squib kick from JSU? That was him who fielded the kick and did not want to go down. He is much tougher than Dupre, lets give him and Jazz a chance

The next best WR we have should replace Dupre. He is so soft.

Put hungry players who make plays and want to win in the game.

Dupre is not producing for whatever reason; he has looked like a QB-killer with all his no-catches. He has earned some well-deserved and prolonged bench time. So that others who want to and will catch and fight for the ball can do that. Maybe on the bench he can sort out his priorities, or count splinters.

6/14 guys. With an not and lost fumble. That's Tommy Frazier level stuff ain't it.

You have to acknowledge, he didn't get much help from his receivers.
Maybe they aren't accustomed to getting a pass thrown to them.

He's got pocket awareness. Big plus there. And we were suddenly snapping the ball with 7-10 seconds left on the play clock.

Dupre needs to be benched and I'm not sure why a QB would keep throwing to him. I would try and find Dural first then check down to TE then RB but no way I would throw to Dupre. Dude has literally missed every pass thrown to him last night.

You know it's always funny because it seems like LSU fans have the same things happen year after year and never learn from them. QB plays bad, new comes in and does okay and all of a sudden he's a savior only to be exposed later. Same situation over and over. Highly touted WR plays bad a couple games, has some drops and people are calling him sorry. I remember Odell had a tough year with drops his sophomore year and everyone called him trash and overrated blah blah blah. Yall don't understand 1) Sometimes young players mess up and 2) As a receiver if you're not used to getting the ball much in games it can be hard to get focused and confident even for easy plays. Just like in basketball a good scorer has to continue to shoot through a slump a good receiver has to continue to get thrown the ball when open to develop his confidence and rhythm.

Bigger question - is Craig worth the salary? I don't see it yet.. I really don't. When your 1's are dropping balls that hit them in the hands, something needs to be done. They need to sit out a drive, quarter, half. Hell, make it a whole game. I don't trust Dupree. he's been really vocal about supporting his boy and I wouldn't put it past him to drop a few. Cant compare the drops from last week that were 3 to 4 feet away from him to the one that hit him in the hands last night.

Who F'ing cares? His job at LSU is to catch the ball and he is doing a horrible job. He should be demoted until he picks it up, or declare and go dazzle them in the NFL. Grestvplayers don't play down to competition, they crush weaker players.
I defended him last week. I trueky felt the throws were bad enough. But now he's clearly showing a problem with concentration.

Dupre should get the Quinn treatment.

Fact#1: In 2 games, Dupre has more drops than he does catches

Fact#2: Smith, Dural, Fournette, and Darrel Williams all have more yards than Dupre through 2 games and waaaay fewer targets.

I do agree he has had some bad drops but he has also gotten mugged the last 2 weeks. On at least 3 of his drops the DB grabbed his arms as went up for the reception and no flag was thrown. Harris Jr was flagged once but another time was more agregious and no flag was thrown. The first game it happened twice. I know you will not get all of the calls. Just crazy how much they are letting DBs get away with.

I wish so badly Davis could get on the field.. and that we would show multiple 4-5 receiver looks and run different routes than just going deep as often as we do. I'm not counting the tight end/rb/fb stuff here.

Would like to see our receivers get the ball in their hands in some way other than just chucking it deep. A guy like Davis has game-breaker skills.. just get it in his hands.
