im fine with their top 3.
im very confident and feel much better than I did a week ago.
it was time for some fresh air and new blood and I feel any of the 3 of Pendergrast, Venables or Steele would be a great recruiter and DC.
this could end up being a blessing in disguise
as long as we get a guy who can keep the talent in state we will be fine

Is there any real indication to believe he is? I know his name was tossed around at the very beginning but I havent seen any hard evidence indicating that hes a serious canidate.
I like the line up of Venables Pendergrast and shoop with O as a wild card.

Writer needs to understand Steele's boss (head coach) was the reason for thenumber 1 recruiting class.

Something about Steele I don't like. I sure hope the front runner ends up being the guy. I think it we wouldn't miss a beat

If this playes out as is being reported the change will be good. The D should improve and any of those guys will be an improvement on recruiting support.

I hope we get Pendergrast and it looks like the chance is the highest. I don't know much about Steele but from what I've read on this board there are better candidates out there.

i have a fear we will end up with someone along the lines of Shoop or Steel. Just throwing the biggest names out there now to put out the fire with fans and recruits

Others would probably be able to provide more detailed info than myself but, he was fired from Clemson. All of his stops have been pretty much average at best, he is supposedly a good recruiter but to say he was why Bama had the #1 class in 2013 is a joke.
All in all, he would be a terrible choice.

Just throwing names out there can get you in trouble if there not a real candidate. All Venables has to do is say I am not interested and never was and it makes you look foolish. Would hope is name is out there in this article because he is realy listening.

He took over the year after. 2012 was his firs year. This is year 3 with all his recruits.
