I think that most people were upset by the manner in which he was made to twist in the wind.

Clearly, post 2011 the program is mediocre. If Les doesn't accept what he just went through as a basis to make impactful change on the offensive side of the ball he will not be here this time next year. In watching his lost game presser I think he gets it....if not....nothing will save him.

A losing record, or at least a losing record in the SEC.

Here's some perspective -- we have never won fewer than 8 games under Les Miles. We've only had a losing record in the SEC once under Les (2008).

This "precipitous plunge into mediocrity" that's been rumored on this board since he was hired still has not happened.

Only 3 schools in the SEC had better conference records than LSU did this year. That's not mediocrity -- it's not elite, or "great." But it's better than "mediocre."

We need to start beating the teams we are supposed to beat. Each and every time. That means Arkansas, and Ole Miss. Bama is going to be a tough out every year, but we get them at home every other year, and we don't have Chavis anymore to blow a lead with <1 min to go.

But until we start to lose non-conference games and/or more SEC games than we win, let's stay on the Les train.

Your opinion is that a 10-3 season next year would be a reason to fire Les Miles?

5-3 or worse, he's out

... unless he beats Bama and I might be willing to accept 5-3 because the Bama anger is strong. 4-4 is gone regardless.

I would have fired him after the Clemson loss. Most Miles supporters would have waited for the Titanic to hit the iceberg before firing the captain. The LSU ship has been taking on water for sometime now.

Does anybody think miles is capable of leading the team to 10-2? There's no way.

I know! It's crazy! He's never done it before... or at least not since 2012.

I was ready for him to go this year, but I'm not mad that he's still our coach.

Honestly, if we don't see an improved offense, I'm fine with letting him go. If we have another "'middle of the pack" season in the SECW, time to let him go.

I'm not gonna say SECCG or bust, because shite happens and it's tough to beat Bama. However, if we get skull fricked by them again like we just did, make the change. If we aren't competive in that game and don't have a chance to win, make a change. And that goes for Arky and Ole Miss as well. The biggest problem I had isn't that we lost, its how we lost. We weren't just embarrassed by those teams, we were thoroughly dominated and gave very little effort.

I can handle losing to a good team. I can't handle looking like we don't belong on the same field as those teams and losing to inferior opponents. That's got to change. If it doesn't, fire him.

He is not going anywhere next year. Even if we go 8-5! It is going to be les for at least two more years.

Not a 9 win season, McNeese adds to this year 8 wins in everyone's tally book.

We play in the toughest division in football and 9 wins is plenty enough to keep a job.

Two back to back 7 win season and time to go.

If Les keeps the same offense and does not go get a good offense coordinator like the TCU coach 7 win seasons are in our future so this is coming soon if we don't make the right hire.

In my opinion the recruiting of quality WR and QB's will totally dry up with this offense, it will just be too easy for competing schools to lure them away.

My prediction if we continue to run full back and tight end formations with only 2 receiver sets and not spread the field and open the attack we will stay at 8 win seasons or below. Next year will be a good season only because most competing teams in the conference are losing players so lets hope Les Miles makes some changes on offense
