Once again, who are you supposed to be? If you racked up your post count on a football board, I would recognize you.

OT junkie.

Point is; loads of blue chippers don't live up to status and IMO of you are not contributing significantly in year 1, you should not be a 5 star. Guys like Trent R, Julio, PP7, etc Dre the field immediately

This is just false. Especially for a stacked team like bama

And it took the staff almost 2 years to realize he was our best punt returner (by far I might add)

If you really want to know, I have family that is paid by the 49ers to scout college players.

I ran in circles with Shannon Dawson locally before he befriended Holgerson in college.

The OC at WVU.

Now who the frick are you?

what difference does that make? If he can read, can use the internet and has a basic understanding of College Football, he can tell you that Landon Collins was an elite prospect.

The difference is he is trying to have a discussion while you relish the role of being a message board tough guy/douche.

Sure do. I don't bring it up much, and certainly don't flaunt it.

You kept asking.

I can forgive those that don't follow recruiting and understand how the rankings work but to the guy that said a kid shouldn't be a 5* unless he's contributing significantly in their 1st year is laughable. That's kind of hard to do since these kids are ranked and given stars a year before they ever set foot on a college campus. It's a projection. I guees all those 1st rounders that bust in the NFL shouldn't have been projected as 1st rounders because they busted. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it's hindsight for a reason. It's only available after an event has taken place. If people were capable of going back in time then I'd imagine recruiting rankings and busts would be very low on the list of things prioritized to do over.

LSU has had many 5* kids that didn't contribute much their 1st year. The aforementioned PP, who may be the most naturally gifted talent that has ever come through the program is one of them. Lael Collins barely saw the field last year.

As for the "not the best to come out of Dutchtown" comments, not as of yet. Reid is established as a college player. Collins just got there. Collins was a better prospect than Reid in regards to hs evals. He's a better talent currently. Reid is smarter and more polished but his physical gifts aren't in the same league as Collins. Collins is closer to PP athletically than Reid is to Collins.

I never have said "my point is right because of my background"

Not on this topic, or any other.

Not going to happen.

I stand on my own two feet.

LC is the best safety prospect nationally in YEARS. Just be glad we are stacked.

this is true, but we aren't stacked at safety IMO. Would have liked to get Devall also. Robinson could have given us more depth and maybe have been a starter before he graduated. Reed would have probably been buried on the depth chart at WR. Hard to predict how a player will develop, but I don't see Trovon Reed being a loss at all for LSU.
