Didn't drop 2 that would have converted third downs? Maybe I am not remembering correctly.

The narrative drives me nuts. Let me blame my failures on Gods plan, all the while I can continue to play the victim and not take honest assessment of my role in the process. And then, let me raise a generation of victims who wonder why God hasn't "blessed" them. While I believe in a higher power, I refuse to believe he cares where Trey Quinn plays football.
No matter your thoughts on if it's God's plan where you play football, thinking its arrogant shows a total lack of understanding.

the continued 7 step drops from Jennings were mind boggling. You have a freshman undersized WR and a QB who cant hit a barn and u continue to run difficult low % pass plays
The crucial passes he dropped were no were near 7 step drops. You also dont watch a lot of lsu football if you think Jennings took a bunch of 7 step drops in 2014.

Well, if you honestly think there are 12-13 teams in the country with more talent than LSU then LSU must be doing one Hell of a job developing players because the NFL sure disagrees with your opinion.
LSU has Top 3 to 5 talent and thereis no doubt about it and that talent level is definitely enough to win a NC with.
People need to stop with this ,"lsu has more talent than all teams except bama"
In the last 2 years we have had 9 players drafted. Bama's 2016 draft alone almost eclipses that number.

quote:If he would've been at LSU with an even remotely competent "Passing" QB, a la Mett, that could have been 122 passes for 1276 yards in two seasons.
Quinn, who caught 22 passes for 276 yards in two seasons with the Tigers, transferred to SMU in May after
He didn't have anybody that could go past the first read and find the second and third options in the Progression.
When you have QB's that are basically "Athletes/Running Backs" who played the position in HS based on their physical athleticism, that's what you get. All the "Dual Threat QB's" that LM has a fascination with, were mostly playing that position in HS because they were the best athletes on the team. They ran a simple "One Read" Spread-Option Offense and when that "One Read" wasn't open on passing plays, they took off running. That may work in HS, but doesn't with any consistency in Major College football.
They have no experience or proven abilities in a some what advanced college level "Pro-Style" Passing Offense, (With a substantial Cam Cameron playbook) and are totally lost and overwhelmed when they step foot on campus.
It's the ole Les Miles "Square Peg-Round Hole" method of QB recruiting that we have all talked about on here ad nauseum. All but the most fervent of SP's recognize and acknowledge this one great LM flaw. Instead of recruiting QB's that already have the required skill set to effectively run the "LM I-Form" (Like Rammer Jammer does) Miles/Cameron try to force DT Spread Option QB's to be I-Form QB's.
It doesn't work. Too much of a learning curve. Takes too long to learn how to read defenses and how to be an effective college level passing QB. Too much WR talent goes to waste (Trey Quinn) because the QB can't get the ball to them.
That's why Rammer Jammer just continues on unabated. They recruit QB's that already have the skills to do what Saban/Kiffin want. There's no prolonged multi year learning curve and playbook mastery. It's already there for the most part. (Whether or not Brandon Harris improves enough in the short-medium passing game as a Junior to propel LSU to the SEC West/SEC Championship remains to be seen) This one major factoid has apparently gone unrecognized by Les Miles, (As most of us fully know) and the Offense suffers. Talented WR talent like TQ are wasted and wind up going elsewhere, while Bama continues to win SEC West, SEC and National Championships................

No they dont. The last time they didnt have an upper classmen playing qb was 2011. Sims was a 5th year senior that had played qb his entire life except the 1 year they needed him at rb.
Coker was a 5th year senior.
AJ played for 3 years. Stop acting like bama has ahd a plethora of young qbs that they have molded great. Lsu's senior qbs have been decent as well.

Our most used set was single back 3wr set. It was used 49% of the entire season and was the leading set in 10 of our games. This notion that we use i formation the most isnt based on facts.
Although i do agree on the projection of qb talent to the collegiate level. Its by far miles' biggest flaw. We recruit these spread qbs and ask them to do things theyve never done before. Hell most spread qbs coming out of high school have never called a play in a huddle, never taken a snap under center, and never once had to analyze a field while taking a 5 step drop.

Name some talent that just went to waste please? What WR has transferred and had so much success elsewhere?

He cant. He has always pumped TQ.
When he posts stuff like this...

It let's you know what his agenda is. What has TQ ever done that would make you believe he is 600 yard wr in the sec?

I don't think it's out of line to think that it's arrogant for someone to believe that the savior of all mankind has a plan for Trey Quinn and his football life. Let's say, for example, that my kid has cancer. I might find it arrogant that a 20 year old believes God is guiding his football life while my kid is dying.
PS: my kid doesn't have cancer.

There is ZERO reason this team should lose a game EXCEPT for Mr. Les Miles........... There are MAYBE two teams with equal talent as LSU. Bama and Ohio State... The rest can take a hike...
Didn't both lose a game last year with more talent than they (OSU and Bama) have coming into this season?

What complete nonsense. I always shake my head at all the "God has a plan" people. Just a crutch for people to try to explain the bad things in this world. What about the kids that grow up in abject poverty, or suffer massive abuse, or women who get raped and murdered, or kids that die in a fire? God's plan? Really?

I can't knock the young man. He would thrive in a Big 12 offense because he would have so many opportunities for catches
Posted on 7/15/16 at 10:15 pm to Makinbacon
Please show the race bait? Why are u so quick to pull the race topic? Is that the best you can do? Really? You are so up in arms about a WR that decided to transfer bc he saw the writing on the wall. There are other things that go into being a WR besides straight line speed and hands. He did not show those other intangible and physical strengths.

Bc your post history proves it.
