Shame that's the way y'all remember that game and remember Quinn. I remember getting a fumble recovery making it first and goal with about a minute on the clock. That fumble recovery should have iced the game.

Is Quinn only remembered for that drop at LSU?

Not at all. I wish nothing but the best for Quinn, and loved him here at LSU. I don't hate him for the drops, he's done more than me obviously. But I will call him out for his statements post transfer.

My only issue was the way he just blamed the program instead of himself, and negatively recruited against us whether intentionally or not.

He was given the opportunity, failed, fled, then pointed the finger.
He doesn't do the last one and there is no shame in any of that. It's his life pursue happiness as you so choose.

I didn't read it that way. Seemed pretty optimistic to me and he didn't mention one word bashing the program. PP7 and LF7 basically told their younger bros the exact same thing when they were looking at LSU.

Maybe I read it wrong.

Good luck to TQ. I know LSU stables some stud WR. Just ready for some football.

I will admit I only read it and didn't watch it live to hear his tone or read his body language. I've also had a beer or two

If I read it differently tomorrow I will apologize. But I really don't think I will interpret the meaning of what he said differently

He played a lot as a true freshman. He had his chances. True he didn't play much after that game and frankly I don't blame the coaches. TQ clearly lost their trust with him. The first pass was thrown perfectly, he flat dropped the ball. They went back to it a second time. This one was not perfect, but it simply should have been caught...not that difficult and would not have been a "great" catch. If TQ catches either, LSU erases some demons for awhile in all probability.

Someone mentioned Chark had passed Trey up. DJ still hasn't caught a pass at LSU.

Bottom line is that it didn't work out and I wish him the best in the future, but those comments stated after reflection sound like sour grapes.

Besides the two point conversion against Wisconsin there's not much else to go on.

What was the score the last time Clemson played LSU?

Why so many attacks on the kid? When he was here, the fans pointed out every mistake that he made.
Be happy that he left and opened up another scholarship for another recruit.
Its a win win for both parties.

Good Luck to him

sounds a little soft, but who knows what types of messages he gets from some of the mouth breather fans.

Having a capable qb was far more TQ's issue at LSU than a couple drops.
It was one game and you idiots act like he had a constant issue with drops.

For the life of me I don't see how LSU lands any big time wrs based on how shite their qb play is

TQ had a little bit of a hands problem, but was a good kid it seems. I am assuming he just got passed up on the depth chart and looking for somewhere to play now. Good for him I wish him luck.

I think because they make the pros. I am thinking they are learning NFL translatable skills somewhere.

It's not over yet and I don't think this is the last we will see of trey quinn. He doesn't have to play against bama anymore either.

blows my mind as well not just the top recievers but top QB's as well that continue to sign with LSU. What QB or WR would want to play in what this offense has been,. (past tense intentional). I think we are selling them on a vision of what the offense will (hopefully ) be in the future. TQ just didn't have time to wait for that change to come about.

The QB's and WR's have been the whipping boys for a awefully designed offense system for WR's and QB's. but on the positive side, change has been coming and will continue this season.

Let's be honest, he had a QB who couldn't read defenses. I personally wanted him to go to Houston. Hope he makes it in the future

But he saw the writing on the wall when LSU's signing class in February had three wide receivers measuring from 6-3 to 6-6.

"I went in and talked to coaches, and at the end of the day, they almost agreed with me that they're not looking for a 5-11 guy that can't run fast or jump and all that," said Quinn, who has run a 4.39-second 40-yard dash. "I'm not the prototypical receiver that they're looking for."

How many drops were pre-corrective eye surgery, and how many after the surgery? For that matter, how many opportunities were after the surgery? Dwayne Bowe had some problems seeing the ball as well, and had to have corrective surgery, after which he was much better.

To be honest that this line of thinking offends me. Might not be how you meant it, but It's like the attitude that your "lunch pail/high motor" child can't go as far in the sport of football so put them in soccer so they can get more pt and participation trophies

participation trophies? No. Pro soccer pay in European leagues are on par with NFL salaries.

I think if I had a message for any recruit coming out of high school, it’s to find that one school that you feel comfortable with that they’re gonna be there with you through thick and thin, regardless of the outcome on Saturday. I think that’s what I found the second time around.
Or, don't drop the ball that hits you in the hands against our biggest rival
