Yep, can't blame Quinn. He tried his best, but there is just way too much talent at the position at LSU, and when you show big drops in big games, what little playing time you'd see disappears completely.

For the life of me I don't see how LSU lands any big time wrs based on how shite their qb play is

It could be the fact that LSU had six WRs on NFL active rosters last season. Only one SEC team had more; Florida had seven.

I thought they were a lot better than NFL salary and you don't become punch drunk

Come on man... Of course. What do you base him having a better chance over there than in the NFL here on? And I was mainly responding to your bs logic:

quote:

soccer is a sport where along with good athleticism, being a skillful heady player with a great motor and work ethic really is a benefit

Find me a sport where being a "skillful heady player with a great motor and work ethic" isn't a benefit. That is a complete bs cop out plain and simple.
I said your line of thinking is what parents use these days to put their kids in soccer instead of football: he won't be good enough to contribute in high school so let's put him in a lunch pail/high motor (white) sport so he can participate.

Regarding the Quinn drop at the end of the 2014 Bama game, LSU gets the ball back inside the 10 yd line and couldn't win. I believe the Trent Domingue out-of-bounds kickoff was the final nail in that coffin.

blows my mind as well not just the top recievers but top QB's as well that continue to sign with LSU. What QB or WR would want to play in what this offense has been,.

The mind of a top recruit is that if they were on the field things would be different. You don't get that good at something without being confident. LSU actually teaches WR to be WR and learn a route tree like they do in the pros. They don't just run quick slants and bubble screens like HUNH teams do. They also teach them how to block which is huge at the NFL level. The learning curve from LSU to the pros as a WR is quicker than most teams. That's why they have immediate success in the league.

Not at all. I wish nothing but the best for Quinn, and loved him here at LSU.

Never seen a WR with 22 career catches garner so much love and admiration from a fan base in my life. Wonder why that is...

Totally unrelated but I just watched the first play of that video and the replay. La'El Collins completely takes A'Shawn Robinson out of the play. Damn, Collins was good.

Ever seen the leading HS WR statically in history get some excitement?

And wishing someone the best, and liking them while they are here is "all this love and admiration?"
Have you not noticed all the shite he's getting in this very thread?

You are being a race baiting POS right now

You are worried about why a WR with 22 career catches garners so much love and admiration from a fan base. Wonder why that is?

Not to mention it is actually the opposite in this thread. Ive actually been calling him out. See what you want I guess

DJ Chark (same class) has 0 career receptions by the way and I expect big things from him. I'd wish him nothing but the best if it doesn't work out, and love that we have him on our roster.

They never threw him the ball again. Other receivers dropped the ball but we're not put in the dog house all year. That's why only 22 catches

That is good advice. I'm sad he didn't find it at LSU. Hopefully he does at SMU.

People live you only because you can play, so when you struggle to make key EASY catches to defeat the best team in the country and a hated rival, why would those people show you love?
I agree you probably weren't playing as much as you thought you should. But your job was to catch, and honestly, you failed in some BIG spots.
To run and leave when faced with adversity, pretty much sucks, IMO.
SMU is a great school and no doubt you'll enjoy your time there. LSU was behind you, please stop acting like you weren't given a shot immediately.

ps....I know our passing game struggled, last year. NO reason to bolt.

Have fun in med school.

If I can recall, he dropped a good number of passes and after being given a few chances, he was pulled for someone else. Competition is just that. If you can't do it, someone else will be given the opportunity.

Unless you play QB at LSU. Where you are given opportunity after opportunity to throw screen passes, and short rout passes over the heads or 5 yards short of their targets. Your also allowed to get arrested, not know plays, and just be flat out terrible. All the while, you keep your job.

Was it 3 different 3rd Down Drops Jennings delivered it perfectly in his chest....they would have kept drives going, eaten up time on the clock.

LOL. They may have been "catchable" but they were wounded ducks WAY out of range, two at his feet.

I love how every still ignores the fact that LSU had the ball inside the 10 yard line and couldn't finish Bama off. Yet they still want to blame it on someone not catching a pass.
