playing Lee against arguably the best secondary in the conference at the time in Florida, total travesty

Disagree... I believe last year it did not matter who the QB was... LSU would have had the same record... Defense/ST was nasty until Ole Miss/Arkansas game

I'd have to call bullshite on that one.

No player is going to tell his coach stuff like that.

I have trouble believing that. Giving your coach an opinion may be one thing, but cursing at your coach, especially Saban, is suicide.

Not really, they can't really do much to a player other than make him run or send him home. I mean frustrations are high at practice especially when things aren't going the way you hope. Coaches know that it is football and players get emotional especially with kids. Saban was not as bad as people wanna make him out to be as well.

Date of recruiting bash. Date of your report? Why the lag time? Anyone else hear this?

TT is working with Mett in prep for combine? Confirmation of this please.

Confirmation of a player criticizing another player to the head coach multiple times?

May I be skeptical?

I have a hard time believing any statement that begins with, "Someone told me.............." without any way of confirming it. Now if you want to believe him, go ahead, but his post relies more on blind faith than reason.

easier to do without Fairley trying to break your back.

we shall see. sounds hopeful.

except for the part where TT thought JJ got handed the position.
That makes you think TT thinks JLee is better.

Considering that we never heard from official or unofficial sources that JJ lacked work ethic off the field, I don't see how he was "given" the ball without earning it over someone who had earned it more. JL hasn't done anything on the field to earn a starting job last year. And hell, JL has been with the team longer. If anyone would be just given the ball based on seniority and without earning it, it could have only been him.

You think he doesn't show the same loyalty and commitment to every single player on the team?

It's already been said. Last year, JJ was the best option. You could clearly see that Lee still threw off his back foot and panicked when pressure got in his face.

Really hate what happened to those two with who they had coaching them, but there are two new variables in the equation that should spell success.

Did JJ not perform well? Yes.

Was he a slacker who was just given the starting job? Hell no.

That guy worked his arse off. Sometimes things just don't go the way you want to. If he comes back next year plays well and able to do more with the ball, then I don't see the problem.

I don't think Lee would have been a worse passing option than JJ last year. When Lee didn't start after the UF game, I knew there was nothing he could do to unseat JJ.

Really man. The OP does sound about 1/4 retarded, but every time you try to sex up JJ's skill level and performance last year you just sound flat out retarded and you never go full retard.

I honestly don't know what else could have been done though. Lee came through for us against FLA, definitely. But the game after was McNeese and he didn't keep it up.

Then we went to Jordan-Hare. In all honesty, with the way Fairley was living in the backfield that night, we probably should have gone with a QB who would run and scramble more than a QB who would panic and force a throw or take a sack. Hindsight.

But JJ really went off after that game. He posted much better numbers in games against Bama, Ole Miss, Arky, and aTm. So after the Florida game, who knows? It worked out.

Before the Florida game, idk what the hell. Didn't seem like we had a competent QB on the roster.

Agreed... I think if LSU went with Lee as starter and Jefferson off bench they would have been 11-2 as well
