I happen to remember another highly touted LSU WR poised to come in and have a big year in 2012 also struggle mightily with drops only to be called sorry and overrated and soft by the LSU fanbase. I believe his name was Odell Beckham Jr. Understand how frustrating it must be for Dupre as a top HS WR to come into an offense and barely even have catchable balls thrown his way. It completely takes a player out of rhythm. Then, even when he does have a ball that should be caught his confidence is low and his nerves or high so he blows it. Dupre is gonna be a high round NFL draft pick for a reason and he'll be just another player LSU looks back on and says "Man if we had that guy why couldn't we win more?" The LSU fan base has to stop crucifying players because of a few bad games and crowning players because of a few (or one) good one.

Seriously???

Dupre went full biotch mode when his room mate got canned. Dude plays exactly like Brandon Coleman.

Similar things were said about Bowe and Lafell. I get it. Dupre still needs to get his act together. Plenty of time to improve.

Please do not compare ODell to Dupre...

Look we all want Dupre to do great but the fact is he is not doing well right now Odell's different player he's faster quicker and he's always had hands of Steel to go out and snatch the ball... I did not see that from Dupree not even close

Dupre came across as shutting it down for his home boy Harris. Notice the other receivers like DeSean Smith and DJ Chark stepped it up.

Ding Ding Ding. More to this one folks. Coaches need to sit down with him and express that his poor attitude and performance only hurts him in the future. Being dramatic about who's throwing the pigskin to you only hurts you. I'd sit his arse fir the first half next week. Let him know that he's not all mighty

OBJ would at least "fight" for possession. I agree OBJ had a case of the drops but he didnt lose the battle against smaller DBs like Dupre has. Dupre doesnt have a talent problem. Its a chest problem.

Once again go back and watch some games from Odell's sophomore year. Dropped so many passes fans wanted him benched too.

Odell was only in his second year in 2012, and was one of the best players on the team. Dupre is in his third year with the team and may lose playing time. The two situations are not comparable.

He, like Harris, has all the physical tools necessary to dominate but has not shown to have the mentality on game day to do so.

I agree that some are too vocal about criticizing him. BUT, it is obvious that he is struggling and it has HURT THE TEAM. Etling game him chance after chance last night (or should I say CC). if he keeps getting beat by DB's and not hauling catchable passes in, HE WILL BE REPLACED. or our QB will simply not look for him.

Lol so now your some kind of psychologist who can tell a players emotions just by watching a TV. Newsflash fanbase MOST OF THE STARTERS ON THE LSU TEAM WERE GOOD FRIENDS WITH B HARRIS. You can't just say Dupre played bad because he liked Harris. Fournette and Guice and Adams and Dural all like Harris too will they suddenly start playing bad too? Once again it's the coaching not putting players in the right positions.

Fournette was only in his second year last year when he was arguably the best player in college football. Odell started almost all of 2011 so I don't consider that an excuse. And he was still way more consistently dropping balls than Dupre even now.

That is ridiculous. What was his excuse for the drops at Wisky? If he wants to play at the next level he should want a Qb that can deliver the ball on target.....and then CATCH it.

That's the point. The poster I was responding to insinuated Dupre played bad because Harris was his friend and he got benched. I'm saying Guice and Adams and almost everyone else on that team are also great friends with Harris and they didn't play bad. It's about rhythm and consistency. Dupre isn't used to Etling yet. He's been playing with Harris for almost 3 years now. To say a kid is trash because of two games is idiotic. Especially when NFL scouts who literally break down kids abilities for a living say that Dupre is a future high round pick.

Beckham and Dupree do not belong in the same sentence. Dupree does not get separation and does not work to come back to balls (even with that height). He is a blue collar man with a white collar attitude. Bring in next man up like any other legit college football program.
