I really don't understand why LSU fans demand that we win every championship in every sport ever to exist and go undefeated, or else the coach shouldn't be alive.

That is the question 95% of people would like to know. IMHO it's a combination of age and evironment. Most kids think real sports it like playing on a computer and when they grew up they heard their drunk daddies, unlces and grandpas howling through their missing teeth pie holes to fire coach Mac, Stovall, Arsnpager, Brown on down the line. They don't know any better and those that do just enjoy acting like idiots.
They don't realize that in real life there are no cheat codes and you are not going to win every game and double up your opponents stats. They have no room for mistakes by any player save the player of the moment that they want benched. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. Oh, and since are new here, that crowd will come after you like howling 12 year olds that just got their playstation privledges taken away if you dare to question them or present facts that refute thier particular narrative. I have watched it for years and it has not and sadly, probable will never change.

It's also fair to say LSU basketball was at a very poor talent level when JJ took over and he has changed that pretty quickly.

It was much worse when Brady took over than when JJ took over. But I'd agree, he did not take over a power.

In my mind, recruiting is the #1 skill a college basketball coach must excel
No argument there.

I am pleased with JJ's effort and results to this point in time.
In recruiting yes, on the court, I can't say I'm pleased. I think we can reasonably expect better. I think a player like Simmons who is self-motivated with a high BB IQ will help CJJ tremendously.

Yeah, it would have been nice to have reached the 2nd round, but I didn't see coaching as the reason we didn't.
For me it's less specific strategic things (though in bounding has been an issue since he's been here) and more discipline and accountability. Every coach has to find a balance with that in today's game. IMHO CJJ is still struggling with that.
