That throw was a little late. If he releases it earlier it's a much easier catch. I think his arm strength is sufficient.

Jennings has a good arm, not an average arm...a good arm. So Fletcher really has no point. There is a point between having a jamarcus russell howitzer and having an average arm. There are plenty of really, really good quarterbacks where the arm strength is good, but not elite. Aaron Murray, Matt Flynn, AJ McCarron, even Manziel didnt have an elite arm. Jennings arm sgrength is plenty good enough to win with in the SEC. Does Harris have a better arm? No question..but when both the contenders have sufficiently strong arms, then any advantage in arm strength must be weighed in with the myriad of other factors that are considered when evaluating quarterback play.

There must be a reason why we took the bubble screen out of the playbook. I'd be worried against better teams having time to jump that route.

Though it's always possible that we're just not tipping our hand before we have to and saving those bubble screens for the big games.

Are you really worried about our QBs arm strength to throw a freaking bubble screen?

Have you ever watched Sunbelt football? Bubble screens all over the place and not a strong armed QB in the bunch

Wasn't a pretty enough spiral for him.

Didn't know they awarded points for that

He just trusts Dural. Be glad when he goes for the other guys. They are a special group. Catching anything in their zip code.

Safety was playing the run or covering the slot. Either way he wasn't there in deep coverage so AJ was able to take a lil off and put some air under it to make it catchable IMO his arm strength is fine. Better mechanics has increased his velocity. More hi action and driving with his legs. (When he steps up) he's also good on the run. Just has to improve the touch throws in screen plays n to the flats.

Rohan was pretty successful on 3rd downs without throwing darts

Danny Wuerffel couldn't throw darts and he did pretty well.

I respect Fletch since he was a qb also, not a good one but he did play the position. I just love it when people on here show their actual single digit IQ by calling a person names because he expresses his opinions. Me? I'm pulling for AJ.

He is probably overstating the case but I understand the concern. Jennings' passes seem to have a lot of arc on them. It makes his passes very catchable, but the concern is that DBs can catch up with the pass.

So far, AJ has 0 INTs. I'll take that.

Can Jennings get a first down in 3rd-12 situations against a good secondary?

Easy, especially when 8 of the guys are staring at the 2 guys that we've got lined up in the backfield.

I actually agree with this on that particular play.

Ugly ball, I couldn't believe it didn't get knocked down or picked.

Both QB's will be great with experience. Jennings is managing the game not trying to win it himself. That is a QB's job. Harris will improve with time.
