What is the appeal of the upper south end zone? Die hards who want to keep their own seats with chairbacks?

There is no appeal, they just wanted to add more suites, and added more seats along with it. Never sat there but have sat in similar seats in other stadiums (like BD) and they were awful.

I think he meant the upper portion, like 417, not the upper - upper.

I heard that they stopped selling those after the first day to try to get people lower. I bought in 417 on the first day, but now you can't choose anything over row 18.

Plus, why pay $15 extra bucks when you can just walk over to the sideline section and sit wherever you want.

looks like it'll be high of 85. Is there any chance to be under an overhang or in shade in sec 305 like on the highest row up...say 65.

Well yeah, that's understood. Neither endzone is really selling. No idea how many students will come, but all the top sections in the north endzone will be completely empty, as they haven't even opened those for purchase yet (and likely won't due to low demand)

You think the " little guy" wants to bring wife and kids, spend $500+, sit in traffic both ways, sit with the sun beating their arse...only to spend the Kate afternoon sitting in traffic (after spending $40 more to park) for 2 hrs.

So, you mean what season ticket holders do pretty much every game? Way to show 'em, little guys!

Can people buy tickets at the ticket office on Saturday? Many tickets may be sold that way.

This is no surprise though.

Won't be "completely" empty, those upper North sections were originally being offered, that is where my season tickets are, and where I purchased for tomorrow.

Once it became apparent that demand wasn't going to be what they had hoped, obviously they removed those sections.

What is normal capacity of the student section? Read where 6,000 student tickets had been sold. Was wondering what that was from a percentage standpoint?

I like to imagine all of the gray is completely sold out. How ridiculous would that look?

After almost every game, when the stadium is half empty in the 4th quarter and looks terrible on TV, the Rant is full of "true fans" who would go to every game and stay until 0:00, if they could only get the opportunity to get a season ticket at a reasonable price. Now that opportunity has presented itself- a home SEC game, pretty much a level playing field as far as who gets tickets first, with no TAF fees- and Joe TrueFan finds another excuse not to go. That is fine by me, but ol Joe Truefan needs to quit bitching on the rant about how he would stay all game if he only got the chance.

But you can bet your home, and every future pay check for your entire working life, that everytime that subject comes up from now on, that those who bring it up will say they were in the stadium for this game.

Anyone else notice from the maps being posted that this thing is going in the WRONG direction???

Here's the Map as of 11:20, it's showing more availability than the one I posted from 08:20 this morning....

Earlier this morning it was showing nothing available in 302 or 304...as well as 104 and 106. Now, all are showing seats available.

Move the game to Tad Gormley in NOLA, so it can be a sellout.

J/K - not serious.

I was all set to travel to SC for this game -- but just not going to flip the switch and now drive to BR -- obviously a lot of other fans feel the same way.

Would it be different if there was no TV?

Moving the game was a tough decision and with little advanced time for it -- it's neither a good "home game environment" for LSU or S. Carolina.

I just hope our team plays hard and wins the game -- the atmosphere is just not what
anyone really wants. IMO

I really dont understand what all the fuss is about. People who generally attend games plan to do other shite they cant do on a home game day. A buddy of mine who never misses a game planned a trip to key west and I am sure there are thousands of people who made plans that they cant break.

Sometimes I sit in the club or suites and I think damn why did I spend so much I could have just sat down there with those folks for half the price....then I read a thread like this.

I'll be in the stadium club tomorrow, with the rest of the "non-diehard" fans. I even bought my buddy a ticket because my GF has other plans.

And for the record I went to Carolina, but I've been in LA for almost a decade and since LSU is supporting my school and home state, I'll wear my LSU shirt, just like I do every other time I go to an LSU game.
